Signing the law, which in typical dishonest fashion for ugly bills is called the “Prioritizing Patient Access to Care Act” instead of the “Making Sure Mothers Can Kill Thieu Unborn Children Whenever They Decide It Might Make Life Easier, Cheaper, or Less of a Hassle Act, Governor Healey said: “I’ve heard heartbreaking stories from women and families who were preparing to welcome a healthy baby into their family, only to receive devastating news later in pregnancy.  Instead of being able to rely on the doctors they knew and trusted at home, they were forced to travel hundreds of miles and pay out of their pockets while navigating unimaginable grief.  That should never happen in Massachusetts. This law continues our efforts to have the strongest abortion protections in the country because in Massachusetts, we believe health care decisions should be made between women and their doctors.”

Ghoulish Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll said the law was a “step forward” in ensuring patients could access the “high-quality reproductive healthcare they deserve.”

Excuse me, question, Lieutenant Governor? What about the opportunity to live and have protection under the law of a civilized society that a helpless, innocent child deserves? Any comments on that?

The Governor’s deflection of the real issues by pretending only the most difficult ethical conflicts define the matter is cowardly and contemptible. Okay, when it is the child’s life or the mother’s, that’s a justification for a late term abortion. I’ll grant the Governor’s anecdotal worst case scenario that she’s “heard about” (Do you believe her?), parents learning that the baby they thought was healthy has two heads or a hopeless malady right before the due date, but how often does that happen? A law could carve out an exception for worst case scenarios without giving leave to, say, an 8 month pregnant actress who gets an offer to star in a Christopher Nolan movie to decide, “Oh, fuck this kid, I can have another one. Get the brat out of me.”

I want to hear some woke, feminist, progressive defend the 13 states that allow fetal murder without listening to double-talk and babbling about “choice” and “reproductive healthcare.” If Republicans had any guts, they would take a moral, ethical and legal stand on the unavoidable violence of the Left’s abortion rationalizations. Abortion has been the post-19th Century’s slavery for too long. It is wrong and clearly wrong by any ethical or moral system, yet the side of the ideological spectrum that weeps for gun victims and fights to keep serial killers and terrorist from permanent excision from society still wants the most vulnerable human beings to be subject to elimination on a woman’s whim.

Look at the photo above, those jubilant faces of the women whose mothers gave them a chance at life as they cheer Gov. Healy making sure that as many souls as possible will never have that chance. It’s disgusting.

One of EA’s most articulate and entertaining progressive commenters, the legendary “Still Spartan,” a proud and loving mother, made the argument here that abortion is “a necessary evil.” Accepting that arguendo, as SCOTUS Justices say, still leaves open the question of how to treat abortions that are not “necessary.”

Are they not pure evil?
