Meanwhile, New York City elected a Muslim mayor who has repeatedly engaged in anti-Semitic rhetoric, recently prompting Mamdani to announce a deeply cynical $7.4 million “Strategy to Combat Antisemitism,” which has rightly been compared to an arsonist calling for fire prevention programs. Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is an unapologetic associate of virulent anti-Semitic “influencer” Hasan Piker, but Democrats voted for him as their choice to flip a Senate seat anyway. First, Maine Democrats selected an Israel opponent with a Nazi tattoo as their choice to take Susan Collins’ seat in the U.S. Senate, then, after party leadership (like Senate leader Chuck Schumer, a Jew) tried to get away with “It doesn’t matter if he’s anti-Semitic if he helps us take over” and the rationalization didn’t work, the party replaced one anti-Semite with a nicer one who doesn’t beat up women. Troy Jackson, the new Democratic nominee for Senate in Maine, had to apologize this week for saying in a TV interview that some Jewish Mainers won’t accuse the Israeli government of carrying out a genocide in Gaza “only because they’re Jewish.”
All of this and more is occurring as the leftist indoctrination factories we call “colleges and universities” have hosted rallies with students chanting “From the river to the sea” [Translation: “Wipe out Israel”] and the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights felt that it had to send warning letters and active investigation notices to about 60 universities, including Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, Princeton, Stanford, Northwestern, and Berkeley.
Of course the Axis news media is on board: in the most outrageous example, the New York Times published “Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Nat Hentoff’s bonkers libel that Israel was training dogs to rape Hamas prisoners-of-war. Social media provides more evidence of this sickness. I have published two posts (here is the latest, at the end) debunking the screeds previously intelligent and reasonable Facebook friends (progressive Democrats, of course) who promoted anti-Israel propaganda. Why? Because it is now part of the package the Democrats are selling. If you are a good progressive, you hate President Trump, who is the strongest supporter of Israel of any American President (the last one, you’ll recall, insisted on a permanent cease-fire in Gaza, which was code for “Give Hamas time to recoup and get ready for the next massacre of Israeli civilians.”
This is the Democratic Party today. Yes, there are few anti-Semitic conservatives as well, disgraced wackos like Marjory Taylor Greene, the revolting Tucker Carlson, and a recently departed prolix EA commenter, but they are outliers. No, anti-Semitism is what your progressive friends are going to vote for. “Oh no,” they will protest (especially your progressive Jewish friends). “We hate Zionism, not Jews!” Well, opposing Zionism is hating Jews. Whether your friends deny this out of ignorance, mental deficiency or mendacity, that is the only possible conclusion.
As I will discuss in Part 2…
Thank you, Jack.
Why does Palestine get a seat at the UN? If that is the case, I think we should demand the following observer seats for the sovereign nations residing within the borders of the US. They include the following groups below. Each one will need a seat and a translator. Yes, they may speak English, but they deserve the same respect for their native language that the other delegates get. Please get Trump on this right now. PLEASE….. This would be the best troll ever.

Darn tootin’. This anti-semitism has lurked beneath the surface of U.S. elitism for years. It was always considered among the worst excesses of the far-right but even the left had its bigotry hidden behind prominent far-left secular Jews.
Our host wrote once during the pandemic, asking if it seemed like something was happening here. I agreed then and I agree now. Cultures are aligning on one side or the other. The United States, which once served as a focal point for calm, rational moderacy in the world, is now divided between vocal, but influential, squeaky wheels that make it nearly impossible to move the cogs for all the social issues wedged in there.
Something is happening. Whether you believe we are approaching the End of History, as I suspect we are, or not, we are living in a transformational time.
It is frightening to think that when we get to a certain level of civilization, it collapses. In 1700 BC, Santorini had multistory apartment buildings with hot and cold running water, toilets, and a city sewer system. Then it collapsed in a 50-100 year period along with the rest of the highly interconnected bronze-age civilization in the region.
It took about 1500 years to reach multistory apartment buildings, running water, etc in Rome. Then it collapsed too.
We reached that level of technology and civilization in the late 19th-early 20th centuries. Are we headed for such a collapse as well?
When I look at the Dark Ages, I see a time when the people weren’t educated enough to learn from their own books. When I talk to college students today, they have been so poorly educated by the leftists in our school system that they cannot read the textbooks by themselves. Even the upperclassmen cannot learn the material from the books. The Renaissance happened when the people became educated enough again to understand what had been written in the books the monasteries had been copying for 1000 years. I have seen 3 commentaries this week that mention the fact that there isn’t anyone left who knows how to understand the computer programs and that is why we need AI to do it.
Opposing Zionism is hating Jews.
Yes. Why are Muslims allowed to have all the countries listed above and Jews can’t have a single one (which they are willing to share with non-belligerent Arabs)?
