I’m really getting annoyed at unethical hacks—you know, journalists—forcing me to defend Donald Trump. Really, guys, if you can’t do this jerk in by reporting the facts and doing fair commentary, it’s time to send an application to Home Depot.
The fact that someone at a Donald Trump rally shouted out “White Power!” is no more significant or newsworthy than if someone shouted “Give peace a chance!”, “Kilroy was here!” or “Tippecanoe and Tyler too!” One person? Or even if it was six, or ten, so what? Maybe he was a Democratic plant. Maybe he was a Rand Paul plant. Maybe he was nuts, and maybe he was a white power advocate, so what? What control does Trump have over who comes to his rallies? Yet the news media is treating this one shouted idiocy like it’s a smoking gun.
Now the game is to see how many loathsome individuals the news media can find who will say they support Trump. using basic cognitive dissonance against him rather than facts, substance, or legitimately relevant issues. The Daily Kos looked under a rock and found a David Duke nod to Trump: pathetic. “Have you no sense of decency?” Pure guilt by association, and the worst kind: there isn’t even any real association there. Let’s see who else they can get to endorse Trump. Dylann Roof? Bernie Madoff? Jared Fogel? Lance Armstrong? George Zimmerman? Casey Anthony? Satan?
Every rally for any progressive cause is polluted by anarchists, communists, America-haters, drug peddlers, criminals and assorted crazies. Does the mainstream news media cherry pick these bandwagoneers to discredit pro-choice, civil rights, gay rights, and environmentalist movements? Never.
They leave that to the right-wing media.
This gutter tactic is an embarrassment to gutter tactics. It also tells us everything we need to know about the ethics of the leftist news media. By any means necessary. Journalism ethics are non-existent. Fairness? Nope. Honesty? No. Professionalism? Don’t be silly. This is the arrogant, entitled, we-know-best, double-standards wielding mainstream media we’re talking about. They were just warming up when they slimed Sarah Palin, actively campaigned for Barack Obama, and clotheslined Mitt Romney. Now, flushed with success (yes, they really call electing Barack Obama twice success) they are sinking to even lower depths, because they lack the credibility, skills and industry to expose Trump fairly. They have to cheat. This is intentionally courting confirmation bias. If someone shouted “white power” at a Bernie Sanders rally, would a single journalist report that as a black mark against him? Of course not, because unlike Trump, Sanders hasn’t dared to condemn the U.S.’s unethical tolerance of illegal immigration. To the lock-step liberal media, this makes Trump a racist. No, it doesn’t make sense, but that’s how these hacks roll.
Go ahead, you fools, make Trump a victim. Let him legitimately claim that the news media is trying to bury him, and not just whine about Megyn Kelly properly calling him on his nasty personality. See how that works out.
You’ll elect him yet.
Ethics Alarms 
It occurs to me that all of these stupid attacks on Trump might be making him stronger. The man is thoroughly shameless and quite media-savvy, so he can shrug off most of the attacks that partisan hacks throw at him, and even turn them against his attackers. Even legitimate attacks, like Megyn Kelly’s, can get turned around by Trump’s media jujitsu.
As I think about it some more, it occurs to me that the media is playing a game with Trump that they can’t win. The media is trying to emulate so-called “reality television” to keep viewers hooked and shape public opinion, but they can’t do it as well as someone who’s actually done Reality Tv, like Trump. He knows better than they do how to control and direct crowds.
For years, millions of people have tuned in to Reality Tv, and politics at every level has transformed into Reality Tv. Now the Reality Tv candidate has arrived, to thunderous applause. As we have sown, so shall we reap.
This does beg a question.
Why should United States Marine Corps recruits listen to a Marine drill instructor? What makes a Marine drill instructor more than just some random dumbfuck blowhard?
The answer is obvious, really. A Marine drill instructor is entrusted with a special duty by the Corps. To be qualified for this special duty, the instructor must be above reproach. If a drill instructor loses respect, respect of the recruits, respect of the superiors, respect of the public, the drill instructor is removed.
The mainstream media has long ago lost the respect of the people. Their criticisms are ineffective. They are just random dumbfuck blowhards.
(It would not surprise me if, in Drill Instruictor School, drill instructor candidates are asked, “What makes a Marine drill instructor more than just some random dumbfuck blowhard?”)
Yep. Trump has more than his share of failings, but being spineless isn’t one of them. And he’s better at media manipulation than the media mavens themselves. I don’t think they realize what they’re up against here.
Trump is like Godzilla rising from the polluted ocean, and the energy the media expends in attacking him only makes him stronger. And angrier. And as appalled as we are by the monster, there’s some guilty joy in watching him treat their delicate journalistic conceits like cheap, flimsy props.
This is legit horrifying. WE MUST BAND TOGETHER AND STOP HONEY BOO BOO FROM EVER BECOMING INTERESTED IN POLITICS. I don’t even know if I’m joking anymore.

Trump only did for his press conference what legal authorities should have done for the nation long ago. That guy has (somehow) dual American and Mexican citizenship and boasts openly about voting in both country’s elections. He should be thrown onto a slow boat to Vera Cruz.
