Remember Jemele Hill? She was the African American co-host on ESPN who got herself fired because she couldn’t restrain herself from making hysterical anti-Trump declarations and other politically inflammatory social media posts and outbursts despite being warned, even by the left-wing Disney mouthpiece ESPN, to cool it. I wrote a couple of posts about her; since then she has receded into irrelevance, where angry, vile public figures like her belong. Oh, now she works for The Atlantic, a publication almost as much obsessed with Trump-bashing as Stephen Colbert. The problem is that Hill is irrational, arrogant, and somehow under the impression that her vendettas have any societal use whatsoever.She also is laboring under the delusion that her emotion-soaked, undisciplined brain is a fine-tuned instrument. It’s not. She a classic example of someone what was told she was brilliant her whole life by lazy and incompetent mentors and instructors, and has been permanently handicapped as a result. And as a result, she serves society garbage, thinking it is caviar.
Yesterday the Boston Globe reported that New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft had sent a team plane to China to pick up 1.7 million N95 masks to fly to Massachusetts for the use of health care workers as they care for patients ill withe the Wuhan virus.
Search as you might, there is no negative spin you can place on Kraft’s act. It is altruistic. It is compassionate. It is an act of service to his community and the state that supports his team.
Now here is what Jemele Hill tweeted:
Even Jemele supporters—why there are any, I cannot fathom—tried to explain why this was ugly and inappropriate. She doubled down, because she has the self righteousness of John Brown, and about the same amount of self-restraint, This was not the time to be divisive, one told her. She replied,
“If you consider facts divisive, oh well. But maybe these owners and billionaires need to better understand that just as their money can do a good deed, it can also cause irreparable damage.”
Should “Trump has done irreparable damage” be added to the Big Lie list, or is it just a variation of some of the others, like #5 (“Everything Is Terrible”) and #6 (“Trump’s Defiance Of Norms Is A Threat To Democracy”)? For the record, the likely irreparable damage is from Hill and the others in the Axis of Unethical Conduct—the Democrats, “resistance,” and mainstream media—who have undermined our elections, the institution of the Presidency, the Constitution, and the public bonds essential to a democracy. Just for the record.
Another fan asked if her bile was appropriate and necessary at a time when the nation needed to unite. Her answer to that: “Yes it is necessary. If we don’t critically think about how we got here, we will be back here again.”
Yeah, you’re a real whiz at “critical thinking,” Jemele.
Her version of it led her to conclude that Trump was only elected because of America’s bigotry and white supremacy, and because of campaign donations from Robert Kraft.
Ethics Alarms 
It’s almost not worth commenting on. Someone that arrogant and blinded by hate will not be able to see how hateful they are.
And how hurtful.
I understand. It’s hard to refrain. It’s like any big act is an opportunity to have attention to bring up how much one hates Trump.
Watching the media conferences the past 2 weeks has been eye opening.
How he can even take questions when he knows they are trying to hurt him. And he says “fair question” – “good question.”
I’ve been proud of him and seen a new side of him.
That girl is too blind to see her hate is making others take another look at Trump… who’s supposed to be the hateful one.
She will get him re-elected.
This week 3 leftist friends have had their eyes opened about the press… my Facebook is full of others wondering why the media twists Trumps words so bad.
Him being on everyday is good I think.

It’s going on 4 years of nonstop Democrat hate & lies, and I ask myself – why? Why do they bother? I’m not a psychiatrist so I’ll fall back on the simple answer – the Democrat Queen Bee called her fellow Americans “deplorable” because they voted for somebody else. The worker bees must follow the queen if they want to remain in the plantation.
It’s actually more I’m learning. And it’s not pretty.
I’m beginning to understand exactly why.
I think all of the media is not really media but paid actors to deceive us.
Many more people are seeing him speak for themselves lately, without media interference, and more people will catch on when they see the briefing they saw with their own eyes twisted beyond recognition later online. I got a very early glimpse of this when he was still on the campaign trail. My insomnia had me sometimes watching campaign events live at 3 am in my time zone. I would go to bed, and when I got up, the narrative would almost always be very different and presented in the most negative way possible. It was so blatant, but only because I saw the initial event myself did I realize how far they were willing to go. Had I not been sometimes watching, I could also have been bamboozled.
It made me wary, and I started looking at 3-4 sources or more on every story I was interested in (as well as of course, reading here) to be able to piece whole events together. It’s draining, and you have to be dogged about it. Many will look at the headlines and scroll on, and you can’t blame them. The Trump haters each posting a half dozen or more anti-Trump memes each a day drown out everything else, and have, consistently, for almost four years. It’s a daily avalanche of anti-Trump propaganda. It’s this bad for me where I am, it must be overwhelming in the US. All of the Big Lies, repeated hundreds of times daily. When I say something people say, ‘You must love Trump’. No. I love truth, and I respect the office of the Presidency, and what it stands for.
If he is on air daily, and more people see him speak for himself I’m hoping that more people catch on to the disgusting lengths journalists are willing to go to smear Trump. I just read that networks are being petitioned to stop broadcasting the briefings live, with the reasoning that they are campaign appearances. I hope people won’t fall for it.

According to Wikipedia(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jemele_Hill), Jemele is a “sports journalist”. And such a good “sports journalist” that she was honored as “Journalist of the Year” by the “National Association of Black Journalists”. Coincidentally, that was shortly after she was dumped by ESPN.
And now someone is paying her to bloviate about “”those tricky intersections: race, gender, politics” on a twice-a-week podcast.

Okay, to the substance. What other position can Hill take? She’s utterly invested in hating Trump, and she knows Kraft is a Trump supporter. As we have seen time and again, people infected with this virulent strain of TDS not only can’t see past the idea that anything that helps Trump hurts the rest of humanity, but they are certain their public outcry about it is indispensable to the world’s survival.
Jemele is displaying a perversion of what we call Ethics Accounting around here — no amount of good a Trump supporter does can ever offset the evil of supporting Trump.
Such is the confluence of unshakable narcissism and deliberate ignorance that is Jemele Hill. If a Trump supporting doctor developed a combined vaccine for cancer and the coronavirus that was 100% effective, Jemele would conclude the Trump support must always qualify and taint the doctor’s good deed.
There are really two maladies in one here — terminal TDS and the New Left’s politicization of everything. We can no longer look beyond politics to the betterment of mankind — everything must be viewed through the lens of politics, and the political value must carry the most weight.
That’s what Jemele refers to as “critical thinking,” and her intellect, not being within an astronomical unit of where she thinks it is, is incapable of discriminating the difference. To her, “critical thinking” little more than a catch-phrase used to justify irrationality.
What about Andrew Cuomo? Remington has offered to bring the Ilion, NY facility online to make ventilators and masks. Remington is a firearms manufacturer, a very labor intensive industry that uses individual machinists to make many of its parts. The million square foot facility is chock-full of machine tools with trained machinists who could begin manufacturing parts in days, if not the same day. With an individual machinist, there is no need to set up a system, they just take the plans, figure out the best way to make the part, put in stock and go. I’m no fan of Freedom Group, but this plant could go from start to production faster than just about anyone else. However, Cuomo has refused to even speak to them. He demands the federal government send him ventilators, but he refuses to accept help from a company in his own state because they are a gun company. He cares more about control than lives. Not only that, he has shuttered the facility as ‘non-essential’. They are not allowed to make ventilators or masks for ANYONE ELSE, either.
The citizens of New York favored removing President Trump from office because he didn’t comply with illegal subpoenas, yet they allow their governor to refuse to allow people to make the medical machinery the country (and his state needs). They should remove him from office. They can’t, though even if they wanted to. What are they going to do? Go up agains “the world’s 4th largest army” (Bloomberg’s words) with sticks? New York should receive NO new ventilators and NO aid from the US government. If anyone thinks gun control is about saving lives, here is definite proof of that lie. Gun control is about CONTROL. EveryTown USA supporters, Mom’s Demand Action supporters, these deaths are on your hands.

I’d love some help in tracking this down. As usual, the mainstream media has almost nothing about it. Local media reported the offer, and teh story just stopped. Especially with Cuomo making such a big deal about the ventilators shortage, if it’s really true that he blew off Remington because its a gun manufacturer, that a huge story. Is it possible that the news media is just burying it to protect Cuomo? That’s as big a scandal as Cuomo ignoring the order.

If I were C.S. Lewis I’d call this the Rabadash syndrome (after a fictional villainous prince who freely abuses his power and starts a war over a woman who turned him down, because no one will tell him he is wrong and risk being boiled in oil). In crossover music I’d call this the Charlotte Church syndrome (after the teen singer who got too big for her britches, tanked her own career by a stupid comment about 9/11, and then made a disastrous switch to pop music which failed, all against the half-hearted advice of everyone else in her life, who finally just went along because she was unmanageable). However, I think I will call it the Balloon Head syndrome, since, at the base of things it’s about those who inflate someone’s ego until it’s so outsize the only way out is to pop it, and it’s fragile enough to pop very easily.
The proper way to handle this kind of nonsense is either to make them look as ridiculous as they are, or, in the alternative, to ignore them. Rabadash is defeated in battle, but worse, he is turned into a donkey who can only transform back at a festival where thousands will see him, and suffers the fate that he deems worse than dying, that of being forever laughed at and considered ridiculous. Charlotte lost the spotlight after she was revealed as a twit with no sense, and turned to ever more outrageous antics to try to get it back, foul-mouthed and fairly explicit interviews, public drunkenness, fighting in full view of the public with slimy (and in one case, criminal) boyfriends, and at one point trying to bite an intervening police officer. It got her column inches, but it didn’t get her lasting success, and the last anyone heard she was trying to open a small, nontraditional school in an annex of her own home, where kids would decide what would be taught. She can’t stand being reduced to irrelevance, but she’s run out of options.
The best bet here is just not to give this woman any attention. She really isn’t saying anything that hasn’t already been said, and everyone knows where she is coming from. She’s Ilhan Omar without the funny headdress. She fancies herself brilliant, but she’s just loud. She thinks she is giving weighty pronouncements with great insight, but in reality she’s just ranting. She thinks she is giving great comebacks, but in reality she’s just deflecting. She’s headed toward Dan Savage territory, where she can rant and scream and curse all she wants, and tell her criticizers to go eff themselves (not the first time anyone’s heard that, and anyone with a functioning brain stopped being impressed by that in high school), but the only people who will pay much attention to her are her own fans. We may be becoming a nation of assholes, but there’s no reason to deliberately do a deep dive into a stinky brown pool of you-know-what.
So if she is self-evident race-baiting idiot, which she is, how does ESPN justify giving her her own show about “race and sports” after she washed out of the main ESPN channel by advocating such nonsense as a boycott on the Dallas Cowboys because Jerry Jones forbade his players from disrespecting the American flag?
Because if they hadn’t kept her on in some capacity or another, LeBron James would have called Bob Iger and told him to do something. Fast.
Presumably the same reason CNN keeps Don Lemon on – because getting rid of her would create more problems than it would solve and be more trouble than it is worth.

Personally, me my own self, I’m a big fan of reductio ad absurdum.
A person can’t claim to lay down facts and then just stop without connecting those facts to a reason that anyone should care.
Besides, where are her facts about Trump himself? How much of people’s animosity towards him is because of things that he has actually done, and how much is because of things that they are afraid he wants to do?
Why don’t they draw a line and say, “Up until this point, even if what you do may have evil intentions, I will allow it, because it won’t cause problems. Past this point, even if what you do may have good intentions, I will not allow it, because it will cause problems.” If people were more educated, they could judge decisions based on their expected consequences (at the time the decision was made) rather than on the character of the person making the decision. We need that, because people no one trusts can still do good things, and deserve the opportunity to earn trust from that, while people with the best intentions can still screw things up and they need to be held accountable.
And of course, we may want to start spamming social media with my go-to Frederick Douglass quote: “I would unite with anybody to do right and with nobody to do wrong.”
