Apparently White Springfield, Ohio, Elementary School Students Were Ordered By Black Students To Say”Black Lives Matter”

The story is officially in the ‘allegedly” category until all of the facts can be confirmed.

The principal at Kenwood Elementary School in Springfield told police that a group of black students gathered several white students in the school playground and forced them to say, “Black Lives Matter.” The suspects also recorded the students who were threatened into making the statement, police said. Students who tried to resist were dragged or carried to a section of the playground and beaten, with one white student getting punched in the head.

I don’t particularly blame the black students at all. They have been told for all of their lives by adults, politicians and the news media that whites hate them, that police are trying to kill them, that the nation is overwhelmingly racist and that systemic racism and rampant white supremacy is the norm and will be, unless they do something about it.

Yesterday, in his remarks after a screening of the new Emmet Till movie, the President of the United States said (according to the official transcript posted by the White House)…

You know…extensive research showed that between 1877 and 1950, more than 4,400 Black people were murdered by lynching, most in the South but some in the North as well. That’s a lot of folks, man, and a lot of silence for a long time.

Lynching was pure terror to enforce the lie that not everyone — not everyone belongs in America and not everyone is created equal; terror to systematically undermine hard — hard-fought civil rights; terror not just in the dark of the night but in broad daylight. Innocent men, women, and children hung by nooses from trees. Bodies burned and drowned and castrated.

Their crimes? Trying to vote. Trying to go to school. To try and own a business or preach the Gospel. False accusations of murder, arson, and robbery. Simply being Black. Often the crowds of white families gathered to celebrate the spectacle, taking pictures of the bodies and mailing them as postcards.

And then the President added as an ad lib, “Hard to believe, but that’s what was done. And some people still want to do that.”

Children have limited tools and resources. Knowing, or thinking they know, that children they have to attend school with must want to lynch, burn, drown or castrate them, their family members and friends “simply for being black,” those black students in Springfield were behaving rationally and predictably.

In the last few weeks I have encountered more unprovoked contempt, rude conduct and hostility from random black citizens I have  interacted with than any previous time in my life. Forced to deal with the Alexandria, INOVA emergency ward, I was confronted by two black admitting clerks who virtually spit their words at me. I was not imagining it, and I am usually willing to give anyone the benefit of the doubt.

I am beginning to think that the cumulative hate and presumed racism being focused on typical white citizens of this country are rapidly reaching a tipping point, and that the experience of those white students in Springfield is a harbinger of far worse to come….and not just on playgrounds.

Just as Black Lives Matter has always wanted….

I wonder if such things would provoke retaliatory racism.

    • You mean like the Proud Boys? Yup. It’s just that it hasn’t gotten to the point where all of white America has broken with its collective guilt and “allyship” has fallen out of favor. I concluded long ago that so-called “allyship” was a waste of time. Someone else put it better and said that it basically means whoever you ally with is God and you are a mere mortal. This person also said that it’s like a religion WITHOUT the promise of redemption or salvation. Well, I’m sorry, but sacrificing forever with no hope of anything at the end just doesn’t do anything for me.

In 2020 nearly 10,000 Black people were killed by violence on city streets. The proud boys and the white supremacists were not involved.

I said yesterday that Biden is the most contemptable form of racist in that he panders to the Black community while promoting policies that mire them in poverty. That poverty of mind is what breeds the violence.

I have observed that this behavior is regional. Certain states I travel in have this phenomenon, while others do not. So far the places where I have observed the behavior are far fewer than the ones I have not observed it.

      • I find things okay in this respect in Arizona. I’ve found black people make eye contact in public. If you acknowledge them, they will acknowledge you. It’s nice. Makes one feel we’re not alone. We’ve been in two vacation spots in the last year and I have noticed black people there don’t have any interest in engaging at all. They seem angry.

      • I am not entirely sure. The state I have noticed hostility in most heavily is Louisiana. Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida I have only on very rare occasions encountered any racial hostility. The difference does not seem to come from racial makeup or wealth. I think the difference might come from cultural factors. Louisiana has a very different culture than the other Deep South states to begin with.
