I have some reservations about designating anyone an ethics hero when they declare that they “love” MSNBC. Loving MSNBC is a mark of partisan bias and corruption, as well as making someone who regularly appears on the network’s propaganda-spewing shows complicit in the damage being done to civic discourse and democracy by this truly unethical, racist, divisive and destructive network.
But…
After MSNBC’s hosts and guests had been, predictably, mouthing the Palestinian, Democratic Socialist (including “The Squad”) cant about how the massive terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas was somehow justified, and periodically calling for “context,” which is like the Left’s “root causes” narrative after the attacks of 9/11, reliable knee-jerk progressive (he was one of Obama’s aides) and ADL head Goldblatt directly and unequivocally condemned the MSNBC coverage, looking straight into the camera to do it.
MSNBC deserves some praise too: it allowed Goldblatt to finish his long and very articulate spontaneous speech without any attempt to interrupt or cut away. Such instances where the news media is confronted honestly about its disgusting conduct are too rare, and we should pat our respects when they do occur.
Since 1948, the Palestinian people have been under siege, by Zionist, Nazi Jews and they have slaughtered thousands of children by sniper fire.
“According to figures provided by Minister of the Interior Yosef Burg, in 1980 ten Jews were killed by ‘terrorists’ and in 1981 eight. In contrast, we have killed about a thousand ‘terrorists’ in 1982, and caused the loss of life of thousands of inhabitants of an enemy country. If so, it results that for every 6-8 Jews sacrificed, we kill in return thousands of Gentiles. This is, undoubtedly, a spectacular situation, an uncommon success of Zionism.” (Aluf Hareven, former head of the Van Leer Institute, on Israel’s invasion of Lebanon, from Migvan, October/November, 1982)
A proper understanding of “the law of Moses” even makes it possible to comprehend current interpretations of Israeli law ( New York Newsday
10/15/91, p 14):
An Israeli Justice Ministry official suggested in a letter that a Palestinian benefited when Israeli soldiers killed his wife. The letter was written by Pliya Albeck, chief of the civil department at the attorney general’s office, legislator Yossi Sarid said. Israeli radio said the Palestinian woman, Safiyah Suleiman Gargour, 63, was beaten and then shot to death by soldiers in May, 1990 while working in her garden in Khan Yunis in the occupied Gaza Strip.
“You should claim that the plaintiff has only benefited from the death of the deceased (his wife). He has benefited, because during her life, he had
to provide for her, and now he does not have to do so.”
I’m old and was employed in media when we were taught to report who, what, when, where, and how. Traditional journalism, where reporters deliver information in a balanced and unbiased fashion, is no longer found in the national media and is quickly disappearing even from local media. This is especially evident on television where high profile reporters and commentators are now bigger even than the story, as they deliver news with large doses of personal opinion to give the story “perspective.”
“Bigger than the story,” yet in experience, acumen and wisdom, empty suits and gnats with delusions of grandeur.
The ADL recently got dirty in a spat with Elon Musk claiming that the new, more free, version of X is anti-Semitic.
Which is the bigger villian now, ADL?
Well, Elon Musk was definitely a bigger villain than the Waffen SS soldier applauded by Canada’s govenment. The ADL didn’t even complain about that. Remember, the Waffen SS aren’t necessarily Nazis because THE REAL NAZIS support free speech.
But as for the BLM standing with Hamas post on Twitter,
It has been noted that Joseph Greenblatt hasn’t denounce that post or the one following it stating:
“Yesterday we sent out msgs that we aren’t proud of. We stand with Palestine & the people who will do what they must to live free. Our hearts are with, the grieving mothers, those rescuing babies from rubble, who are in danger of being wiped out completely🇵🇸♥️🖤💚”
and
“Us too, God please unharden Israels heart & help them to stop bombing children & taking over peoples homes & building fences, god please help them see the beauty & peace that can come of ending genocidal behavior”
I guess the Israeli’s should all go to a music festival dedicated to peace with Palestinians…oh wait…never mind.
