My Facebook Feed Is Like A Petri Dish For Leftist Charlie Kirk Deflection Desperation…

Yes, they are spinning this hard…

I was going to try to start off with another topic but ran across the above at 5 am this morning. My friend and Facebook friend who posted it (and who received nothing but “likes” and supporting comments) is as nice and amiable man as you could ever know. I spent some delightful time with him over the weekend. But he is a lawyer-actor, living in two knee-jerk progressive bubbles, so he is turning off all his analytical abilities to try to focus attention on the Evil Right and somehow stop his “side” from being exposed by the Kirk assassination and its horrifying response to his death.

The lynching theme is arising from this news story: two men, a young college student and a homeless man, were found hanging from trees in different parts of Mississippi. So far, virtually nothing is known about the two incidents; there is no indication that the two deaths were connected or even evidence that foul play was involved. The student was black, the homeless man was white. Never mind, though: everyone knows that Mississippi was a hotbed of Klan activity and one of the strongholds of Jim Crow and opposition to civil rights. The State is solid red and therefore evil by definition, and current Axis cant holds that any improvement in race relations in the United States since the days of “Mississippi Burning” is just white racist propaganda and disinformation.

There is literally nothing true or even coherent about the meme that my friend posted. The white man found dead is ignored, because the “lynched” claim is weakened by it. Kirk’s assassination is utterly unrelated to the Mississippi deaths as far was we know. The initial ruling on the student’s death is that it was a suicide (my friend pointed out that law enforcement in the South routinely called lynchings “suicides,” so that proves that his death was race-related—remember, a lawyer is reasoning like this.) Charlie Kirk was, said and did many things that can be justly criticized, but he was not a “fascist” even though a President of the United States told the nation that he was.

Predictably, the news media that is so eager to turn public attention away from the Kirk murder and accountability for it is trying to gin up hysteria by saying that there is hysteria already. “Mississippi is reeling” the linked news article says. “The shocking finds, one in Cleveland [Miss.] and another in Vicksburg, have rocked public confidence, stirred demands for openness, and rekindled bitter reminders of racial violence in the South.” This is called “stirring the pot.” Social media makes it easier and more sinister than ever.

Rational Americans from either side of the political spectrum (even Bill Maher!) are able to identify the assassination of Kirk as being exactly what it was: the culmination of Axis hate and fearmongering flooding the public since at least 2016, magnified by the Left’s fury at having its designs on permanent political dominance foiled by Donald Trump, Charlie Kirk, and the inability of Democrats to fool “all of the people all of the time.” It is those resorting to such tactics as this who are showing us who they are and what they care about.

  1. Of all the morbid things to look up, I Googled “number of suicides by hanging”, and apparently that’s a very common method of suicide. Unfortunately, it is grouped under a general heading “suffocation/asphyxiation,” so a quick study did not reveal the numbers specifically for hanging. But under the suffocation/asphyxiation category, in 2023 there were apparently more than 12,000 suicides, amounting to more than 32 a day (on average). With 8% of suicides (2022 statistic) being black, that amounts to 2.5 black suicides by suffocation A DAY. If we just guess that suicide by hanging is 40% of total suffocation deaths, then we could further state a black person commits suicide by hanging every single day. So, the real question is, where’s the outrage over this? We’ve not had just one black person die by hanging, but maybe as many as 7 since Charlie Kirk was assassinated.

    • it’s crazy, isn’t it? The reports I read did not have much in the way of facts, though there were reports that the black person had broken arms and a broken leg, which seems odd. I wonder if there is more to the story. Could it be that he was beaten up by others, died, and someone figured hanging him from a tree would make it look like suicide?

      • This all falls under my disdain for our cultural rush to judgment. Some people are claiming that the black youth had broken limbs, but the police stated there were no signs of foul play as of yet. I would have thought multiple broken limbs would be somewhat suspicious, so either the reports of broken limbs are misleading, or the police are incompetent in their reporting. Either way, we don’t have much choice but to wait and see how the case develops.

        • From the article: “Social media has been abuzz with theories and outrage, some pointing to evidence of physical abuse on Reed’s corpse. One of the viral messages read: ‘Tell me, Trey Reed was found beaten with three broken limbs. What the fuck kind of suicide is that?’”

There is no clarification, explanation, discuss of that in the article. The article, though, leaves the impression that the police are either incompetent or corrupt in its investigation of Reed’s death. Shameful.

  2. [From your host: This asshole is once again crashing the site’s comments despite being banned for all time to make a fatuous and worthless criticism of the linked source for the story. I used the very link my lobotomized Facebook friend used, because, see, the post wasn’t about the two hangings, see, which are no different in significance and have no more connection to Kirk’s execution than any of the thousands of deaths that occur in the US. every day.

The post, see, was not about the hangings, but about how desperately the once intelligent Americans who have been indoctrinated and warped by hate and Leftist propaganda that they are no longer capable of rational thought. I should add that I read the other reports—there aren’t many—and none of them were any more enlightening than the one I linked to.

“A Friend” is capable of rational thought: he’s just an arrogant troll with nothing better to do. Sad, really. Carry on…]

  3. This appears is a case of the writer allowing the audience and social media to drive both the facts and the narrative of the story – well before most of the fact are known and before any narrative/conclusions can be drawn.

This is journalism at its most corrupt and untrustworthy.

    • Agreed, though, this is even more disturbing than advocacy journalism. In the linked article, and others I read that seem to be based on it, there is an assumption the broken arms and leg are objective facts, clearly intending to invoke Mississsippi’s racist past and Trump is a Racist Poopyhead narratives. The stage, then, is set for social unrest as the story gains further traction, truth be damned.

  4. So much ugliness–there are the deaths, which are sad, but what is truly ugly is how every death is pounced upon as something that can be weaponized for imagined political gain. In the midst of this ugliness, there is also beauty, and hope, and redemption, and people being their best selves to lift up others.

Here’s an example of two men doing this–one is from Tennessee, one from Mississippi, one had a very rough adolescence, in and out of prison, but found his way back to the light; the other is a PE coach at an elementary school who grew up singing in church and never lost his way. Both are fathers, with three children each.

Do either of them see themselves as positioned somewhere on the political spectrum? Don’t know, don’t care, completely irrelevant to the good work they are doing:

  5. Never mind that a college campus would seem to be an odd choice for a lynching in any case, the (black) Bolivar county sheriff says it appears to be a suicide. The student body at the college is about 40% black, the city council mixed, the town over 50% black, and the county about 2/3 black. There seem to be no active Klan groups in MS; you’re more likely to find one in Indiana, Pennsylvania, or Illinois.
Still, the loonie leftists who immediately jumped to “Kirk’s killer is MAGA“, are now off on “Mississippi! Lynching!“. Democrats are getting more desperate by the day.

  6. I had a discussion with a Facebook progressive troll yesterday evening that wrote the following on a post my friend wrote about the problem with anti free speech violence coming from the left…

“…that pedophile sitting in the oval office is the root cause of all the hate in this country”.

After I proved him wrong in a couple of follow up comments, my friend asked him to “Come back with a debate on this topic”, here is how he replied…

“Steve Witherspoon is a racist pedophile protecting bot boi”

This ad hominem sling troll is obviously suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome and he’s not shy about letting people know just how much of a moron he is.

These people have completely lost their minds.

  7. This is just another conspiracy theory floated by the left at the social media.

At the moment there are at least two of such theories. This story about the lynching is one of them. They are inventing a new martyr in the tradition of Emmett Till to deflect attention from Charlie Kirk.

The second conspiracy theory is that the text messages between the killer and his trans-furry lover are fabricated.

The previous days we have been gaslighted by the theory that the murderer of Charlie Kirk was from the right, a “groyper”.

The hard left will keep coming up with this nonsense as they cannot live with the truth. Instead they produce lies straight out of the pit of hell.

  8. In October of 2022, a young man by the name of Rasheem Carter went missing near Taylorsville, MS. His body was later discovered in a wooded area. I followed the media coverage in detail, and I was shocked.

From the beginning, there was zero evidence of foul play. The media claimed the body had been “decapitated”, when in fact only a few pieces of bone had been found – part of the skull and some vertebrae. The body had been skeletonized and spread over a wide area, almost certainly by animal activity. They claim he was seen “running for his life” on a trail cam, when his upright posture in the image clearly indicates he was walking. He was also alone. They described Taylorsville as “a modern day sunset town” when 30% of the population was black – a fact they neglected to mention.

News stories would mention that he complained to police that three pickup trucks full of white men, or three white pickup trucks full of white men, were following him. Others would say he claimed he feared his boss would kill him. Others mentioned he thought his roommate was out to get him. Almost none of them mentioned how he thought the clerk at the Dollar General was in league with the men in the trucks. Taken individually, each of these can be made to sound like a lead in a homicide case, which is what the articles aimed to do. Taken together, however, it’s clear we’re looking at a case of paranoid delusion. News media carefully avoided presenting them together.

No evidence has ever been found of this mythical lynch mob in pickup trucks. There were no racist lynchings in Taylorsville in the years prior or since. Despite a $50K reward offered in a town of only 1,100 people, nobody has come forward with any information on this supposed lynch gang in white pickup trucks.
