Right Into The Res Ipsa Loquitur Files: The Dumbest Anti-I.C.E. Meme Yet…

What else is there to say?

A Facebook Communist friend posted that, and I know he believes it. What kind of indoctrination, propaganda, and unethical social bubble makes an intelligent man think that bigoted analysis is true, fair, reasonable or responsible?

And I guarantee that no one will criticize or argue with that asinine post.

  1. Here are a couple more absurd statements off of Nextdoor that are destined to be memes or maybe they already are…

“When did the penalty for blocking traffic become execution?”

“His actions were not that of a man in fear for his life, they were the actions of a man that couldn’t handle being laughed at.”

People writing these kinds of things are morons.

    • Been in a multi-day conversation with some progressively minded Democrats on Nextdoor regarding protesting the ICE shooting in Minneapolis, it’s been “interesting”. Paul Schlecht has been witnessing it.

      • If anyone that has an account on Nextdoor is interested in this particular Nextdoor conversation, it was started by Paul Gruenbacher and I think the link below should take you to his profile page where you can find the following post. At the time of this posting, it has 105 comments.

        Here’s the link.
      • Yes I am. The “protest” is a mere .8 miles/1.3 kms from my house

IMO, Steve is using remarkable restraint in his dealings with these imbeciles.

Until recently, neighborsnextdoor (THEY Report/YOU Decide!) has been a fetid cesspool of monocultured Lefty slobbering; no surprise to anyone familiar with the 77 Square Miles Surrounded By A Sea Of Reality.

It’s comforting to see there’s now at least some pushback against the preponderance of ill/uniformed Lefty blather, and much of that has been (in this thread, leastways) Steve’s dispassionately deft dismantling of their comically absurd certainty.

        PWS

    • I’m going to paraphrase another ICE/Good shooting statement that I hadn’t heard until about an hour ago…

For President Trump, his senior staff, FBI, Homeland Security, ICE, and some trigger happy scum bags with a badge, this is all going according to plan; public executions just like Charlie Kirk wanted.

Moronic people that say/write things like this have dropped their pants and fully exposed their anti-conservative bias. This is delusional thinking.

  2. That woman thought she could run down federal officers with impunity.

She was taught police only shoot innocent black men.

She was taught that immigrants, regardless of legal residency status, were being disappeared without due process.

She was taught leadership she hadn’t voted for is illegitimate because it was installed by a violent dictator on the other side of the world, and she’s convinced bankruptcies, two impeachments and dozens of felonies prove it.

    • A drove up to an Indivisible organized sign waiving, side of the road, honking inducing demonstration and talked to a bunch of them. I was told about citizens being picked up off the street and held incommunicado for weeks and even months. Where did this come from?

  3. Res Ipsa Loquitur. What is Tom Morello from Rage in the Machine thinking? The population of Iran is anti-mullah. Or is Tom Morello pro-mullah?

  4. These sorts of assertions remond me of a sort of frenzy.

There’s this account of the prophet Elijah and the prophets of Baal. In his interaction with them, they chant and get no response from Baal and their chanting escalates to self mutilation and still no response.

This is a people who’s sense of real and right has become dislocated reality – the result of insulin resistance in the brain, and dopamine disregulation due to instant everhthing.

  5. This meme is a perfect example why I think everyone should learn the Rules of Evidence.

Two sentences, neither of which would be admissible in a court of law. Both statements, based upon the current evidence we have, are speculative and without foundation (I admit that that is redundant, but, in case you didn’t, I wanted to get the point across). Thus, neither of them would be appropriate for me to consider in forming an opinion about this case.

Yet, these sorts of statements can easily reinforce our biases. We don’t question them because they say what we already think or what we want to think.

In many ways, the Rules of Evidence instruct us better on the way to process evidence than logic does. Logic might be better for arguments but the Rules of Evidence is better for facts. But, hey some logic is better than no logic.

Back to the point, I see so many posts about his motivations and her motivations (no, I do not believe she was trying to run him over; he was just in the way of her escape path). They are practically useless and arguing against them seems futile because the proponents of such arguments don’t understand why they are stupid arguments.

    -Jut

    • Jut, if you’re referring to the two statements Steve got from Nextdoor, I (non-lawyer) suspect they could be used in an opening argument. I wouldn’t; don’t think I could muster evidence to support either one, but as to the second one, I surely would raise the question as to why the officer stopped in front of the car.

      • It all seems quite simple to me. The purpose of sending Federal agents is dual: to arrest and then deport illegals (about 9.5 million to go…) and also to express nearly a counter-revolutionary will that many in the nation support, and certainly many in Trump’s cabinet support.

For those who support law and order and the defined mission of “rescuing America” from a huge class of people defined (abbreviatingly) as “the Woke”, not only police should go in but the military (were this possible). That is how people feel about the corrupted state of the culture.

In the background of this lie many different, and conflicted, feelings and ideas. It is easy to see when Trump refers to the entire Somalian nation in America as, quite frankly, unworthy people. It is “America reclaiming America” and if the will could become coalesced and concentrated, the larger effort would become more decisive, and also more forceful.

On the other side of this divide are the also self-defined righteous who form patrol groups with whistles to defend their neighborhoods and communities. This group both defends and defines the New America while the other, the law and order faction, defend and defines the Old America — which in fact no longer exists. Nor can it be resurrected.

In some way all can be seen as various processes of death. In a dying body you might think it is lifeless but in fact a dying body “lights up” as each cell is consumed in the process. In the American body-politic death is everywhere, and so is death’s agonies. The “God” of America is an old, dead conception and He will not resurrect. Even for the Charlie Kirk crowd their invocation God they refer to is an expression of nostalgia. They are better off defining themselves as atheistic Jews which their proclivities seem to indicate. America and Israel might merge and the third temple be re built then the real ending can begin (as they see things). Even democracy is moribund and has little binding force as the body politic dies. A dying body lights up as each cell starts the death process. Its becomes a mad festival of contrary wilfulness.

  6. Last night, my TDS-suffering sister lamented her lack of “freedom of speech” (I think she means academic freedom) because she could get fired for posting something online or get shot for attending a protest.

    I just let her talk.

She doesn’t believe that I.C.E is picking up criminals among the illegal immigrant communities. She cannot distinguish between the government crackdown on D.E.I initiatives and idiot college administrations that tell her not to use the word “biodiversity” when giving lectures in her landscape architecture classes. She repeats the narrative that D.E.I. is services for the disabled (the Left successfully integrated disabled services into D.E.I. programs and, now that those programs are being cut, so are ramps for handicapped people and interpreters for the deaf). She does not believe that she has nothing to fear from a protest if she avoids interfering with law enforcement. She does not believe any news source that publishes anything to the contrary. She wants to move to another more liberal state where she can speak her mind.

You can’t talk to people like this. I’ve tried. I love her very much, but she lives and works in a bubble that reinforces her opinions.

      • There must be a remedy. I’m at a loss to describe what it could be. If the news media had been more fair and honest a couple of years ago, it might have worked. Now, if a news outlet tries to practice journalism, the TDS population thinks it’s being intimidated by Trump. If a college or university attempts to be more fair, it’s the same thing. If you are a good progressive who gives Trump an inch on anything, you’ve drunk the metaphorical Kool-Aid (Flavor-Aid) in their eyes.

You can’t reason with them because reason has left them. Your analogy to a cult isn’t that far off.

        • There must be a remedy. I’m at a loss to describe what it could be.

Isn’t it so that everyone seems to take a shot at answering the question, but no one has enough objectivity to come out with a definitive, actionable answer?

          • With respect to the meme of this post, find me even just 1, uno, just one individual who practices a high fat and protein forward diet, maybe even zero carbs, that is a member of the population or culture of people who are railing against and interfering with ICE or also included amongst the TDS population.

Here’s a solution. Stop eating carbs. Eat animal fat first, especially for women. Then eat protein. Then don’t eat carbs.

          • The ideal remedy would be that the formerly reasonable, sane, intelligent people who have locked themselves into this mindset take a step outside the bubble, feel the warm air and smell the sweet scent of actual freedom and recognize that they’ve been propagandized to for years.

If you can find a way to make that happen, I’d go for it. Unfortunately, we can’t kidnap all of them and deprogram them individually nor do I know of a useful working machine that emits a deprogramming ray big enough for the masses.

  7. A guy I met at Texas A&M, he was an upperclassman when I was a freshman, is my primary meme dealer. If you don’t have a quality meme dealer, I recommend you get one.

Anyway, long ago he went off the deep end with progressive derangement and his supply of memes has slowly grown more and more politically hateful and irrational.

Pretty much to date you’ll get maybe 5% funny stuff and then something raging about current politics.

I’ve long wanted to start a kind of side post or tracker called “Memez is make us dummer” or something like that. To discuss the various logical fallacies, Schopenhauer debate shortcuts, or hidden lies that each of the memes relies upon to make its “point”.

But alas, WordPress won’t let you post images unless they’re embedded in a link to another source.
