Yet More Evidence Of An Already Self-Evident Proposition: Our Journalists Are Disgustingly Biased and “Enemies of the People”: The NYC ISIS Terrorist Attack

That’s an understatement. Ace of Spades covered the whole CNN debacle:

Indeed it did seem to be deliberate. Mayor Mamdani’s tweet followed the news media’s lead (or vice-versa), burying the Islamic terrorism under condemnation of anti-Islam protests:

The episode validates the current motto on the conservative blogosphere regarding the Axis news media, “No matter how much you hate these people, it isn’t enough.” Here is what those two nice, innocent teenagers (according to CNN) had written before their attempted mayhem.

The news media is untrustworthy, biased and antithetical to a functioning democracy. Foiling them was one of the primary reasons (among many) why I felt it was crucial for Donald Trump to prevail in the 2024 election. It has come to pass that the influence of these unethical “advocacy journalists” using their Bill of Rights protections to undermine the mission the document was created to advance has diminished. However, purging our current corrupt journalism institutions won’t solve the existential problem: a democracy needs trustworthy journalism to survive, and as of now, we don’t have any.

For that reason I am less inclined than ever to tolerate those who continue to deny that the mainstream media’s perfidy exists. The deniers are as much “enemies of the people,” in President Trump’s apt phrase, as our sinister journalists.

  1. I have mused several time here that anyone who seriously asserts in a comment that the mainstream media isn’t fatally biased against conservatives, Republicans, and, naturally, President Trump risks being banned from the commenting wars.

Some ideas of Andrew Torba that I sense have relevancy:

“We are living through the first AI war.

“Most people don’t see it yet because the battlefield doesn’t look like a battlefield. The battlefield is your timeline.

“While missiles and drones fly overseas, a second war is unfolding across the internet. Within minutes of any major event, the information environment is flooded, filtered, and manipulated. Videos vanish. Posts disappear. Certain narratives rocket to the top of every feed while others are quietly buried.

“The modern internet is no longer a neutral space where people exchange information and argue about reality. It is an immense network of algorithms deciding what billions of people see, what they don’t see, and what they will believe happened. How is it that in 2026 when we have billions of devices with cameras and high speed internet all over the world we aren’t seeing any footage of what is going on in Iran or Israel? We saw more back in the early 2000’s with the war in in Iraq than we do now.

“The reason for this is because platforms like X, Facebook, TikTok and others rely heavily on automated moderation systems and AI-driven tools that scan the entire network in real time. Content can be flagged, limited, or removed within seconds, long before the public ever has a chance to see it let alone debate it. Censorship is only half the story. The other half is narrative warfare.

“Governments, political campaigns, intelligence services, marketing firms, activist groups, and media organizations all understand the same brutal truth of the internet age: if you control the narrative online, you control how millions of people interpret reality.”

  2. I’m glad you’re covering this Jack. I saw all of this already, and it is absolutely infuriating. The grossly partisan reporting is nuts, and I don’t know when or how it ends.

  3. The Babylon Bee would not be able to improve on the CNN tweet, farcical as it looks. Leftism is a brain virus. The following video shows how seriously affected Walter Masterson, counter protester, is affected by this brain virus, as the two terrorist threw bombs over his head.
