Hey Democrats: This Is Your Party!

I can’t wait to hear my Facebook friends blame Trump somehow.

Last night Darializa Avila Chevalier, a 32-year-old Democratic Socialists of America. member defeated Adriano Espaillat, the chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus in their primary. Chevalier’s stated positions will make her the most radical Democrat, or member of any party, elected to Congress ever if she prevails in November. She wants to abolish police, prisons, and borders. “All deportations are wrong,” she maintains, even when an illegal immigrant has committed a felony.

She was one of the founders of Columbia University Apartheid Divest, the militant student group behind the violent 2024 occupation of Columbia in support of Hamas. “We are Westerners fighting for the eradication of Western Civilization,” she says. “We stand in full solidarity with every movement for liberation in the Global South. Our intifada is an Internationalist one…” She complains that Bernie Sanders and AOC are too pro-Israel.

How could any American vote for her? Chevalier calls the United States “a fucking disgrace,” and as signature significance for a woke maniac whose brain raised its hand and asked to leave the room, refers to the United States as “occupied” Native American land. Naturally, she also wants the government to seize “all properties from landlords.”

Imagine: the Trump Deranged are so warped by hate and hysteria that they are willing to put people like this lunatic and Graham Platner in positions of power and risk allowing the party that supports them to get control of the nation. For the second time today, I am reminded of that guy who shot the nails into his head to stop his arm from hurting.

It’s stunning that anyone would have to explain to someone with functioning neurons that it is irresponsible to support candidates like Chevalier and the party that spawns them. But this toxin has been seeping into the American culture for a very long time, since the late Sixties at least. The vile conservative talk show host and author Michael Savage had a best-seller 20 years ago called “Liberalism is a Mental Disorder.” I wrote several articles about how unethical it was for one side of the partisan divide to call the other mentally ill; to me it was redolent of the way the Soviets discredited, isolated and imprisoned dissidents. Savage is vicious, but he’s not stupid, however. I may have to admit that in today’s environment, that ugly title has the ring of truth.

  1. Could the increase in this behavior( and the theft of the Knicks trashcan) be related to physical reality becoming less “real” or important as people spend more time focused on a “social” screen?

    • Also the consequences of rapid immigration with virtually no assimilation.

Ditch the melting pot for multiculturalism and don’t be surprised when they don’t want American culture.

      • Heck, forget about immigrants: there is virtually no assimilation of native born Americans with their nation’s own culture. That’s why a lie like the “1619 Project’ can take root; it needs a rich soil of ignorance and propaganda.

          • From my perspective (you may remember I was quite involved with radical-right ideas a decade ago) I sense I am watching “standard American conservatives” seem to wake up from a lazy dream that things could work out and improve. Now, the harder truth seems to be settling in: the Nation is in crisis, the Occidental nations are in crisis, and everyone looks around and does not under Who to blame, or who and what is responsible. And here is the radical truth (I mean, it seems so): it literalky cannot get better given the core premises of both Liberalism and Democracy. Because “the Demos” wants Mamdami (snd Heaven knows what else!) And without some really radical action, they are winning the day. I have been in the States on behalf of my parent’s business and everywhere I go everyone is a recent come foreigner. What is this place? What happened?

It’s like what Renaud Camus said when he coined the term “replacement”. Once, one people was there. And then, suddenly, another. He talks about France of course, and there it is genuinely intense, but similar in the States.

It is a curious thing: in social crises: they arouse the need to “interpret”. Everyone becomes an interpreter! A mouthpiece of interpretation and opinion. Like Richard Weaver in Ideas Have Consequences. You have to seek a cause that can ‘explain’ why what’s happening is happening. But on the base of what knowledge?

This is why I refer to people like Jonathan Bowden. He was quite brilliant really. Audacious in his formulations (but also a ‘troubled soul’)(he died young).

      • Ditch the melting pot for multiculturalism and don’t be surprised when they don’t want American culture.”

They just want American Free $#!t!

      • I so much wish both you and Jack would bother to take the time to listen to the Bowden talk I linked to, below. I listened to it again yesterday and his perspective is amazing. This is one reason why I ssy, but without ANY desire to offend, that all you-plural do is to complain about circumstances in isolation, but a) do not really understand causation (why and how things gotten to this state), nor b) what realistically and truly conservatively could or should be done about it. According to Bowden we are in a crisis of civilization. It is at a magnitude that transcends a specific nationalism. It is truly Occidental. And fundamentally it is a spiritual sickness at the root. But that word — ‘spiritual’ — has to be defined by way of radical analysis, not sone degenerate timid ‘piety’.

You know, it is interesting: I came here under this impetus: to discover and to know the real causes of the ‘malady’. Certainly I got some positive response, but also ridicule. Ridicule by arrogant men filled with their egoic notions about what is needed, about what is moral and immoral. But actualky, and I say this with respect despite how it will be interpreted, you-plural are in the dark (speaking generally of course). You do not really have a clear idea, and therefore you can’t really remedy anything. So, you bitch and complain. But factually you are standing on the sidelines, effectively powerless. Is what I’ve said so horrible and offensive that I should be exiled?!

For Heaven’s sake cannot you take it?
