Meanwhile, CNN, which never uttered a peep of criticism when the Democratic Party based its entire campaign against Donald Trump on tarring him as “Hitler” and a fascist, and nodded sagely as President Biden employed the same slander against Republican…

…now writes,
“…the President and his Republican allies are turning to the age-old tactic of “red-baiting”…as communist revolutions consolidated not into egalitarian utopia but totalitarian repression, the Cold War generation associated communism with the regimes of Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong and Fidel Castro, and with memories of duck-and-cover drills under the threat of nuclear annihilation by the Soviet Union…Trump is deploying the label “communist” against an ascendant group of Democratic candidates and politicians who only go as far leftward as calling themselves democratic socialists.”
Because what anti-American, anti-capitalism Marxists call themselves is what matters.
CNN tracked down a far left professor, Austin Sarat at Amherst College, who said that Trump is using the term as a shorthand for “un-American,” signaling to his base that their way of life is under threat. “It’s a kind of broad-brush way of saying, ‘These people are not like us; these people threaten our way of life,’” Sarat adds.
Imagine that. Calling a political party un-American that is gaining power by electing people who want to eliminate individual liberty and personal responsibility while giving the government the power to redistribute wealth and “seize the means of production” as that party’s supporters paint the United States as racist and existing on “stolen lands”…
As Thomas Jefferson fought off objections to the Declaration calling King George “a tyrant” by saying simply, “He is a tyrant,” President Trump has reality his side when he warns about the ascendancy of communism. The Left controls secondary education and higher education, and indoctrination is working. Data from the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation suggests that about 18% of Gen Z believe communism is a fairer system than capitalism. 55% of Democrats think that there are better countries than the U.S. Even CNN admits that more than a third of Americans under 30 (38%) say they have a favorable view of communism, but writes as if Trump warning the public its rising threat is like setting traps for Sasquatch.
“Accusing one’s opponents of communist subversion is a well-worn political strategy in the US,” CNN says, pretending that Joe McCarthy accusing Edwin R. Murrow of being a Communist is the same as correctly identifying Mayor Mamdani as the quacking metaphorical duck that he is.
Communists also have to control the news media, so maybe CNN is just showing its future masters that it means well.
“[T]he Cold War generation associated communism with the regimes of Joseph Stalin, Mao Zedong and Fidel Castro, and with memories of duck-and-cover drills under the threat of nuclear annihilation by the Soviet Union.”
Wait! People ASSOCIATED communism with Stalin, Mao and Fidel!? Those whacky Cold War generation members. What will they think of next?
I wonder if they associated Nazism with the regime of Adolf Hitler.
I wonder if they associated fascism with the regime of Benito Mussolini.
Is it really a duck?
I repeat; “Yes the Democratic Party has become socialists, or is it communists, it’s hard to tell at this point.”
There was a time when CNN Headline News was legitimate. What the hell happened? (Rhetorical)
I worry that I have become a cliche, an old person who believes we’re going to hell in a hand basket. Numbers don’t lie – my fears of political illiteracy in this country, particularly among our youth, are justified.
Maybe McCarthy wasn’t so crazy after all.
Reality check for the gullible….you can easily vote yourself INTO a socialist or communist form of government, but you can never vote yourself OUT of it once it takes hold. Maybe a Go Fund Me page to offer one
-way fares to those who think such systems are great would be in order…..try it before buying it. Return fares are at your own expense.
