Senator Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) said, “I’m thankful Amy Acton is safe. My thoughts are with everyone who was injured, and my gratitude goes out to law enforcement for responding quickly and getting the situation under control. Political violence should be concerning to all of us, it has no place in our democracy.” His colleague, Senator Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), wrote on X, “I just spoke to Amy Acton. She’s tough. There’s no place in our society for political violence. An issue that unfortunately Gabby and I are very familiar with. I want to thank law enforcement for stopping this attack. Perpetrators of political violence must be brought to justice.” It wasn’t an attack, and there was no political violence. Kelly owes his position in Congress to his wife, Gabby Giffords, being shot and disabled, and he has proved himself to be an unethical, hyper-partisan hack over and over again. So has Gallego.
And speaking of hacks, Pete Buttigieg piled on, writing,“There is no place for political violence in our country. I’m grateful that Amy is safe and thankful for the law enforcement officers who acted swiftly today. Attacks like this cannot just be the price you pay for running for office. This must never become normal.”
I wish Democrats lying outright to the public and being enable by biased journalists hadn’t become normal, but here we are. There was no “attack,” Pete. This wasn’t “political violence,” asshole.
And speaking of assholes, Kamala Harris also issued a statement blathering: “I am horrified by yesterday’s attack on Amy Acton in Ohio and grateful for the the actions of law enforcement and others who helped — including Dr. Acton herself, who stayed to help attend to the injured. Political violence has no place in our nation. People must be safe to participate in our government and electoral process without fear of violence. The hate and division that dominate our political discourse must end.”
Democrats are ethically estopped from condemning “hate and division.” Major voices in the party have been claiming that President Trump and anyone who doesn’t want him jailed or dead are “threats to democracy” for years. Harris ran on a platform with the only coherent message being “Trump is like Hitler and an existential threat to the nation.”
Remember this?

I do. This party is completely shameless.
Imagine: when President Trump survived a real assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania and a man behind him was shot dead, media pundits and social media “influencers” expressed such certainty that the incident was “staged” that up to 30% of the public—all Democrats, of course—told pollsters that they think it was a false flag. But here is ABC in its report on the non-existent “attack” on Acton under the headline, “Armed man charged toward Democratic candidate for Ohio governor at fair, law enforcement says.” There are dozens of news reports with similar headlines and spin:
“An armed assailant charged toward the Democratic candidate for Ohio governor, Amy Acton, on Sunday during a campaign stop at the Canfield Fair, injuring several people before he was stopped by troopers, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a statement that a man it identified as Patrick Havas, 38, forced his way through a crowd, knocking over multiple members of the audience as he moved toward Acton, the state’s former public health director. He had a taser and two pistols, the statement said.”
Deceit, deceit, deceit. He was armed, but legally. He did not attempt to access his legal weapons. He was not an assailant, and was not charged as one. Havas “charged” through a crowd in the direction of where Acton was speaking, but there is no evidence that he was attempting to reach Acton so he could harm her. He knocked over two, count ’em, two people, not “several.”
Other than that, it’s a great article….
