Next, the football team forfeited its scheduled game last week against Archie Williams High School in San Anselmo, California. The Piner coach lied, saying the move had nothing to do with the controversy surrounding its captain and was because the team didn’t have enough healthy linemen. I’m guessing that that the forfeit was to protest the team’s captain being punished for not being enough of a good totalitarian Democrat, but who knows? Don’t you just love incoherent protests? If the team was going to take a stand for free speech and against institutionalized viewpoint discrimination and political indoctrination by the school system, it had to make that stand explicit. Make the woke school punish the whole team: that’s an ethical act of civil disobedience.
This whole school should be razed and the ground where it stood sown with salt, with every teacher and administrator sent to Taco Bell for their next job.
Frankly, I am in despair. How can the ethics rot crunching through California and spreading fast be reversed? The school’s behavior reflects so much that is wrong that it’s daunting to process it all:
- The First Amendment is under attack, not by the allegedly “fascist” Republican Party, but by the increasingly Machiavellian Left.
- Embodying the Chinese slogan “The nail that sticks out must be hammered down,” government apparatus is actively seeking to intimidate, punish and make pariahs out of students who dare to express non-conforming opinions.
- Mal-educated and convinced of their own certitude as a consequence of weak parenting and cultural brain-washing, students are outraged by exactly the opposite of what they should be protesting.
- The news media doesn’t explicate this expanding disaster, either because it is in favor of the indoctrination or because its own journalists are too ignorant figure it out. I often have to use the New York Post as a source for stories more prestigious newspapers like the Washington Post and the Times are ignoring, because the New York Post is relatively conservative. However, its reporting on the Santa Rosa story never mentions the real issues involved, like the fact that it has been decisively determined judicially that a school can not punish a student for a post like “Free the Cornell 7.” The New York Times hasn’t covered the story at all, and my assumption is that this is because it is such a flagrant example of what the Times’ side of the ideological spectrum is doing to the nation that Times editors don’t want readers to know about it until after the mid-terms.
Does the student’s family have to sue the school now? It’s an accountability issue all right: Where is the accountability for the whole, sick, California culture that produced this episode? Where is the accountability for the political party and its extremists that spawned it? Where is the accountability for the descent of our public schools into leftist indoctrination while leaving education behind?
And why am I the only one writing about this?
“And why am I the only one writing about this?“
Not unlike how Lefty can’t slobber enough about the White Supremacist/Neo-Nazi angle for the Hindu Temple wannabe terrorist.
Funniest thing; you really have to dig (all the way to the NYPost) to find out that Alexandros Paporakis is…um…TRANSITIONING
And despite being held without bail, the judge will allow him (?) to continue his (?) hormone therapy program.
PWS
You’re right – at least in California the education cannot be saved.
This is a brilliant example of one of the many reasons we escaped the Golden State five years ago. It is travesty, tragedy, evil.
