Professor Turley writes, “It is likely the sad end to a distinguished career. Brown graduated magna cum laude from Spelman College in 1996, then earned a law degree from Emory University School of Law in 1999 and later a Master of Laws from Duke University School of Law.”
Prof. Turley, being a professor himself, continues to conflate academic credentials with competence. Spelman is a “historically black college.” Brown was appointed to the bench by Trump, quite possibly because someone advised him, “Look, they keep saying you’re a racist, so you’d better appoint some black judges.”
Prof. Blackman is more perspicacious. He writes in part,
Some people may be shocked at what Judge Ada Brown said in court, but the truth is that she is parroting standard dogma from Anti-Racists and Critical Racial Theorists. The charges may be completely absurd for someone like Ezra Young, but imagine the black plaintiff was represented by a white lawyer. Would that person be a “White Savior”? Think of the most famous white lawyer in American literature. Could even Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird be derided as a “White Savior”? Yes. Welcome to the world of academia…Many lawyers and judges harbor the “anti-racist” views that Judge Brown spewed, but have the mental faculties to keep it private. If Judge Brown leaves, or is removed from the bench, she would be right at home in virtually any faculty lounge. She could get another kind of lifetime tenure with ease!
I wonder… if Judge Brown were sitting in a typical woke jurisdiction like California, Minnesota, Oregon of New York, would her outburst even be considered inappropriate? She may be crazy, but she’s crazy in a virtuous, progressive, social justice way.
I am grateful to the judge for introducing me to the concept of a “Chad.” Does this mean that all the talk about “hanging chads” during the 2000 Florida re-count was a “dog whistle” for lynching white guys? Hmmmmm….

*Literary reference to a memorable episode of M*A*S*H
A psychiatric evaluation is indeed in order. She is bat-shit crazy or evil (or both). Either way she does not belong anywhere near a robe or a courtroom.
Am I imagining that racism in America was improving before Obama ginned it up at every opportunity? He is not crazy, definitely evil and his reach is long.
There is no question in my mind that Barack Obama set US race relations back decades. It makes me crazy when my woke friends describe him as a “great President.” He was one of the very worst, and may have done more damage to the nation’s culture and society than any POTUS since the Civil War with the exception of Woodrow Wilson.
I’m dismayed at the concept of a ‘Chad’ being a derogatory term for a male.
The first love of my life was (and is) named “Karen.”
That episode was hilarious.
I don’t think she correctly defined the word Chad as it’s used colloquially.
Also, let us play “How Will the News Media Spin This?”
I’m guessing
Probably my favorite episode. “But first, a song!”
At some point many white people will begin building enclaves to avoid people of color. I’m not saying this is a good thing, but pattern recognition (not prejudice) is a survival instinct you cannot remove from most of humanity.
