Ethics Dunce: Huma Abedin, a.k.a Mrs. Anthony Weiner

"Carlos Danger," running for an office that won't have anything to do with him if he wins it. Where is Monty Python when we need them?

“Carlos Danger,” running for an office that won’t have anything to do with him if he wins it, he tells us. Where is Monty Python when we need them?

There are periodic moments when I feel I am wasting my life. A recent one occurred when I heard Huma Abedin, the humiliated wife of New York mayoral candidate and serial penis-texter Anthony Weiner, or, as his friend call him when he’s showing his junk, “Carlos Danger,” say that his pathological and gross conduct, bolstered by public lies, deceit and posturing, isn’t a legitimate concern for voters, and that it is just “between us, and our marriage.”

As Stephen King would put it, a muffled scream builds to inevitability deep in my chest.

This is the continuing, disgusting legacy of Bill Clinton, and yes, the complicit Hillary Clinton, showing how thoroughly they corrupted and warped the brains and values of the public while desperately trying to hold on to the power they had shown themselves unworthy to keep. Oh, it’s just personal misconduct, don’t you see? And we all know that people who betray their spouses, exploit others, and lie about it to the media and others have done nothing at all that would call into legitimate question the trustworthiness or integrity of those individuals for high elected office, right?

Why should the citizens of a nation or a great city care that it is being led by a man with miserable judgement, incapable of self-control, willing to risk mortifying a life partner, his political party and the country while degrading the office he holds by engaging in sordid sexual adventures unworthy of a middle-schooler? Why should character matter, really? After all, history and life experience don’t teach us that honest, loyal, responsible people in their private lives are also those most likely to be honest, loyal, responsible and trustworthy leaders, do they?

Well, yes, actually they do.

Huma’s insultingly desperate rationalization for her husband’s mind-blowing conduct continues the concerted, and apparently successful, effort by her mentor, Hillary Clinton, and Hillary’s life partner in cultural degradation, to render the American public too stupid for self-government. Huma’s husband was still engaging in his sick cyber-games while he was solemnly telling people magazine last year that his perversions were a thing of the past. That’s just between you love birds too, right, Huma? If this story was just between you, why was it published in People? Do you really think that lying to the public shouldn’t be a concern to the public when it is voting on who will lead them? Wait—you work for the Clintons. Never mind. Asked and answered.

For his part, Huma’s astounding hubby claims that his activities, character and deceptions are irrelevant, because “this isn’t about me. This is about the city needing someone — after 12 years — to fight for them for a while.”

In addition to being , a phony, a liar, and mentally ill, Weiner is—what, confused? Insane? Unfamiliar with basic logical structure? Engaging in double-talk? Certain that New Yorkers are too dumb to live?  You are running for office, you pathetic, sick, cowardly fool blot on the political scene!  You, and not some avatar or cyborg, will be the one whose judgment will be tested, whose values will be crucial, whose trustworthiness, integrity and stability will be paramount. How dare you say that the election “isn’t about you,” when you are running for office in the election?

Weiner is a blight on the  culture of the nation, and his wife is almost as ethically warped as he is. Moreover, she is the top aide of the woman many think will be the next President of the United States, and her unconscionable statements regarding her husband perfectly embody her boss’s ethics as well.

Think of that.

Update: But there is hope…

  1. And check out this from high ranking, paid Clintonist Paul Begala, quoted adoringly on Clinton News Network.com:

“Others believe it simply comes down to love. Noting that Abedin is someone with a highly successful career, friend and CNN contributor Paul Begala told CNN’s Chris Cuomo that Abedin is clearly “not a woman trapped without options.”

“I fall back to philosopher Blaise Pascal, who says, ‘The heart has its reasons, of which reason knows nothing.’ In other words, I don’t think this is simply a strategic decision for her. I think Huma loves this guy. She’s going to stick with him. She thinks he’d be a good mayor,” Begala said.

A Democratic strategist who served as a senior adviser in Bill Clinton’s administration, Begala said Abedin gave Weiner “the only chance he’s got” to continue with his bid for mayor. She could have easily ended this, he argued, and “no one would have thought less of her for that.”

“What you saw the other day at the press conference was the real Huma–very emotional but also very committed,” Begala added. “That’s why I don’t think this is any kind of strategy. I think it’s just her revealing her heart, which must be an incredible painful thing for an intensely private woman.”

So, in other worlds, Paul, in Clintonland, all that matters is getting elected and staying in office. Gee, Paul, thanks for clearing that up. And nice reference to Blaise Pascal. He’s always the first thing that comes to my mind when I see a Clinton.

    • Yechh. And this is a programmed response too—he hardly would have said, “This is just a cynical, fake expression of loyalty in order to hold on to her power base–you know, like Hillary,”

Begala is and always has been horrible, the worst and most soulless of the Clinton hatchet men.

      • Agreed. I used to think Lanny Davis was the most dispicable. But Begala is now in a class by himself.

I can’t believe he gets a seat on any network. I’d love to see his billing records. I bet he billed his Weiner account and his Clinton account for crafting and getting published this little gem. I also wonder whether he has to pay for his face time and being quoted on CNN. I’d really like to know how networks really work. I’ll bet it’s like grocery stores charging brands for shelf space. Surely Eliot Spitzer had to pay for his CNN show.

So Begala – feckless hack that he is, a shame upon collective humanity – has all but admitted that the only thing those two people care about is having power, and that they will do anything – commit any crime, tell whatever lie, or endure any humiliation – that might be required if it means they either retain or gain power.

And they will do this because they know that they are our betters. They are wiser and more compassionate than we mere plebians. They know better than we how our money should be spent, what we should eat, read, watch, and hear. What we should drive, what our labor is worth, and how all human enterprise should be conducted.

If only we would just see that, then the likes of Beth and tgt would finally have their blissful utopia, where we think, say, and do only those things which are deemed to be “good”.

  2. But WAIT! There’s MORE!

    From Politico:

“Others said Abedin is the clear winner of the situation, and several called for her to run for office instead of her husband.

“Money can’t buy the kind of political boost Huma Abedin is receiving. Like her mentor Hillary Clinton, the stand-by-your-man strategy will be her gateway to widespread popularity and respect,” Thomas Lifson wrote in the blog The American Thinker. “Huma Abedin is better-looking, better spoken, and more appealing than her role model. [Tuesday]’s performance (‘whole lotta therapy’) was superb, establishing Ms. Abedin as dignified, strong, and starting to look as American as apple pie.”

Tina Brown tweeted Wednesday “I say Huma for mayor – she has all the qualities he doesn’t.”

The American Thinker? Huh? Tina Brown? These people are clearly living in a parallel universe. Manhattan?

  3. Never been a feminist. Never will be. Feminists support some life choices. They don’t respect women that choose marriage and family or heaven forbid choose to leave a career for family. Their treatment of Sarah Palin and utter contempt for Pro-Life women sealed my opinion of feminists. Huma Abedin is a stooge. She’s a devotee of Bill and Hillary. What do you edpect? New York City, besides being an ecological disaster is a moral cess pitt. Let them have Weiner, like DC had their Crack Head. I give the US till the end of the century before our life support fails.

    • I’m a feminist and one of my best friends is a stay at home religious mom who home schools her children. She’s anti-abortion, I’m pro choice but we get along great because we respect each other. I don’t think we are unique in having this friendship. These types of labels are dangerous and are just not true.

  5. Entry three on the Wiener situation. No woman in her right mind — unless, as it iis obvious she has another agenda (Hillary and others notwithstanding) would put up with this crap, or especially, “stand by her (sick) man” under these circumstances.

Clearly, “Mrs. Wiener” is among the group (pushed on by Hillary) who are led to believe that the grotesque, unfaithful, and sickening behavior of her own husbands are less important than their relationships with Hillary and any other woman who wants to ride the coattails of powerful women and men..

She is NOT abused; she CHOOSES to be abused, for her own purposes.

Well, so much for the much-vaunted “women’s movement,” which started in the ’60s. Only lesson learned from that — over more than 50 years — is to stand up for yourself as a woman when it will do you some good; stand back and be demure if that will help you more.

I’m thoroughly sick of these women. They do a disservice to us all. Have they no courage at all? It is just money and power? Well, I hope MRS Weiner gets bopped in the head when she learns this tack works only on the highest of levels — and her husband is at the lowest of the low.

Is Betty Friedan rolling over in her grave? She should be (if indeed she has one). Does one really think that it helped the women’s movement to have Hillary Clinton lie on the stand, enable her own husband’ perjury, and support him through his various dalliances over the years? STRONG WOMEN, Friedan said, is what we want. Well. honey, you’re so far from that goal — created mostly by the partisan liberal political slant taken by your sychophcants — that you have set us BACK an age, and not moved us one whit forward. Congratulations, kiddo. Your ideas might have been sound at one time, but the way in which you allowed them to be used has been abomininible.

So here’s our lesson for women today: Find a powerful man, use his contacts, make some place for yourself, and ride his ugly coat tails into either fame/respect or ignominy. I hope — with all my heart and mind –for the latter.

These jerks who say that the world would be better if it were run by women instead of men don’t know their history — recent and otherwise.

  6. ….”Weiner is a blight on the culture of the nation, and his wife is almost as ethically warped as he is. Only part that is incorrect in this statement is his wife is ethically warped. Not almost. And isn’t she is connected to the Muslim Brotherhood? She fancies Hillary’s style. She is not a true feminist….she has other’s take out her garbage.
