“[T]he DNC joins with Americans across the country in affirming ‘Black lives matter’ and the ‘say her name’ efforts to make visible the pain of our fellow and sister Americans as they condemn extrajudicial killings of unarmed African-American men, women and children.”
—-The Democratic National Committee, in a resolution passed last week endorsing #Black Lives Matter”
You think that having Donald Trump running (temporarily and momentarily) as a front-runner in the race for the 2016 Republican Presidential nomination is embarrassing for Republicans? That’s nothin’! The official endorsement of the racist, violence-promoting, anti-police and anti-rule of law movement Black Lives Matter ought to disqualify the Democratic Party as a trustworthy political organization until it stops pandering and apologizes for this statement.
Black Lives Matter is a racist, anti-white, hate-fueled organization that considers any law enforcement involving black criminals presumptively racist. The movement continues to rely on false and discredited media and activist narratives (“Hands up! Don’t shoot!”), citing “victims” like Michael Brown as the justification for its existence, presuming guilt in cases where the facts are uncertain or in legitimate dispute (Eric Garner was not “choked to death,” nor was he intentionally killed; Sonny Gray’s death is still unexplained; there is no evidence that Tamir Rice’s death was related to race). The primary result of the group’s efforts so far have been to increase racial tensions, to spark deadly attacks on police officers, and to cause a catastrophic rise in urban murders as police avoid proactive methods and stops involving black suspects to avoid becoming the next Darren Wilson.
Over the weekend, a Black Lives Matter demonstration in Minnesota produced a chant of “Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon.”
Rashad Turner, an activist for the group, refused to apologize for the chant on CNN and claimed—get this—that it wasn’t a call for dead police, but just a reference to a system that works in the favor of officers when they get in trouble. Well, that’s one reason Democrats identify with this group: they lie as audaciously as Hillary.
Hilariously, after the DNC’s embrace, Black Lives Matter rejected it outright, saying in a statement,
“A resolution signaling the Democratic National Committee’s endorsement that Black lives matter, in no way implies an endorsement of the DNC by the Black Lives Matter Network, nor was it done in consultation with us. We do not now, nor have we ever, endorsed or affiliated with the Democratic Party, or with any party. The Democratic Party, like the Republican and all political parties, have historically attempted to control or contain Black people’s efforts to liberate ourselves. True change requires real struggle, and that struggle will be in the streets and led by the people, not by a political party.”
The question is, why would anyone want to be affiliated with the Democratic Party today? In recent months it has rejected its founders, towering figures like Andrew Jackson and Thomas Jefferson, it has sent official after official out to the media to cover up and lie for Hillary Clinton, and now it officially supports anti-white racism and attacks on law enforcement.
It has lost its integrity, its perspective, its values and its mind.
Sing it!
I only saw the headline, so I may be premature if you already mentioned it, but the Black Lives Matter movement, which Charles Green defends, somewhat undermines its claims that “we don’t mean black lives matter more” when they cheer the execution of a Police Officer…
“… the Republican [party has] historically attempted to control or contain Black people’s efforts to liberate ourselves.”
That’s a truly stupid assertion by the BLM…
I have no doubt, however, that in the next decade, sooner rather than later, that massive amounts of national-level oversight if not outright control of municipal police will be a seriously pursued component of the DNC.
I disagree. Everyone is focused on this. My facebook feed every day is filled with Libertarian rants against police.
Personally, I think that police departments need to be run locally if they are work properly. BUT, the DOJ does need to be more active in investigating/potentially prosecuting crimes done by police officers. Local prosecutors are biased. They work with these people every day on the same side of the table.
I’m not certain your commentary does much to refute my prediction.
Thomas Sowell explains it well .
The Black Lives Matter movement people strike me as insatiable. I think they’re much like the Occupy people. They’re anarchists. It’s the only description that makes any sense.
Hoping against hope not to offend Fatty Moon, I agree: they are very similar to Occupy Wall Street and its progeny. An organized, visceral, primal scream against general injustice without the discipline to distinguish between real grievances and fake one, or the integrity to develop any practical policy recommendations. And in both cases the media and Democrats fawn.
So they are like the men’s right movement except for the last part.
Not like the Occupy people. They ARE the Occupy people. Same people; different cause.
Hadn’t thought of that. I guess their snarky Guy Fawkes masks have worn out.
Hold on a sec! Some of us have anarchist sympathies and these guys anarchists are not. They will happily use the state for their own purposes (e.g. affirmative action).
I mostly kid about the being an anarchist part – I lean strongly libertarian – but was called that this weekend (by a liberal, wow), so I’m embracing the label for the next few days. 🙂
The only difference between them and the Black Panthers is the headgear. If it’s brickbats and shotguns they want, I say we give it to them.
Maybe they should get Shannon Miles to be their spokesman. He can shout “Empty the whole mag!” as their rallying cry.
