“I am endorsing Hillary, and all her lies and all her empty promises. It’s the second-worst thing that can happen to this country, but she’s way behind in second place. She’s wrong about absolutely everything, but she’s wrong within normal parameters.”
—- P.J. O’Rourke, on the NPR comedy game show “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me!”
Exactly.

Love it.
I generally share your opinions, but regretfully this former supporter of the Democratic party cannot and will not endorse any mainstream politicians.
I think I’ll sit this one out. I cannot vote for Pazuzu or Beelzebub. We are going to hell either way.
Feel the Bern?
…
Cruz into the White House?
…
A bird in the hand is worth a second Bush?
…
Something something Lincoln Chafee?
Thanks for reminding me about the show. As games go, it’s great fun.
As far as O’Rourke’s decision . . . I think I’m headed that a-way. Not so much because of his comment but I am newly trying to reassess my votives — vote+motive = votive — by applying the useful, if negative, approach of IASAGS: I don’t believe it. AHA! I knew it! So what? ARGHHHH! We’re doomed! Good and So how did the Giants do today?
“Because, you know, I’ve cautioned, you know my fellow conservatives, you embrace Donald Trump, you embrace it all. You embrace every slur, every outrage, every falsehood, you’re going to spend the next six months rationalizing, evading all that. And afterwards, you come back to women, the minorities, the young people and say, you know, that wasn’t us, that’s not what we’re about. The reality is, if you support him to be president of the United States, that is who you are and you own it. “
The reverse is also true, though. Vote for Hillary and you also vote for all she is, stands for, and has done. You don’t get to disclaim it and say “but the other choice was worse.”
Yahtzee.
What? You don’t get to disclaim it, but “the other side was MUCH worse” is 100% valid.
A choice between two unethical alternatives doesn’t automatically become ethical because one is less so or more so.
It does if those are the only choices. “It’s not the worst thing” is different from “It’s the best of bad choices”.
If the not as bad choice still sucks, it still sucks.
My friend’s motto “If you have no options, you have no problem” applies here.
Voting for candidates from an anti-white party is no option.
That is exactly the rationale Trump’s supporters are using to support Donald Trump.
I felt moderately bad for Americans during the Obama McCain cycle, I’ll sponsor a couple of you to live on my couch after this one.
Can I get on your boarding list? I have a feeling you’ll keep me well entertained. I don’t have bedbugs, fleas, or lice, and I’m house broken (i.e., your couch is safe with me). And, although I prefer the dark, malty stuff, I’ve been known to tolerate Moosehead, Labatt, and Molson!
I’ll re-phrase my new mantra, just for PJ:
The Left is going to get what the Left wants.
“Bucket.”
