Apparently in the extreme progressive and insular culture of show business, no ethics bells do off when per se racial discrimination is offered as reasonable and normal. Apparently whites are expected to just capitulate to this meekly and accept their second class status. Apparently nobody at Backstage had the common sense, education and basic comprehension of the laws and values that supposedly apply to all to politely tell the production submitting this announcement, “You can’t post this. It’s illegal. What’s the matter with you?'”
I wonder which announced Democratic Presidential candidate these people support, and which one supports them? I’d love to know., wouldn’t you? One would think that the fact that she’s a law professor and absolutely knows you can’t discriminate like this would rule out Elizabeth Warren, but I’m not so sure. She seems capable of saying just about anything to roil “the woke.” Kamala Harris, the former prosecutor? Again, presumably not, but pandering to extremists is one of her charms.
I guarantee with 100% certainty, however, that President Trump would reject this effort at anti-white bias with excessive gusto, and probably a tweet or two. (Please don’t tell him about it.) This is what the mainstream media and op-ed page Boswells call “encouraging white nationalism.” It isn’t. Public, flagrant and self-righteous efforts to discriminate, intimidate, demonize and marginalize white people based on color and only color encourages reactions like white nationalism, or as the law calls them, “self-defense.”

I think you are wrong about the ‘white nationalism’ thing. Who had even heard of ‘white nationalism’ until Trump was elected? I certainly hadn’t. But now, Ben Shapiro and Alan Dershowitz are ‘white nationalists’. So, I think this will promote ‘white nationalism’ in their view, which is white Americans who won’t take this type of discrimination anymore.
Why would these people think they could just discriminate against whites? Why wouldn’t they? They went to college! In college, white students don’t qualify for many or even any scholarships at the school (my state University didn’t have a single scholarship that a white male could get).
You may be in a class where white students aren’t allowed to speak.

Why would these people think it is wrong?
Because it is wrong, and violates the traditional values of the Democratic Party and civil libertarianism? They also don’t see it is wrong because good, white folk slink off into the shadows with mea culpas and promises to be better when they are attacked as the scourge of the earth. “White nationalism” is just repackaging the reflex “Racist!” accusation against anyone who objectively criticized a weak, all glitter/no substance black President.

Wow. When I got my engineering degree, we didn’t care about race. We cared about whether or not you could calculate the kinetics due to mass and heat transfer limitations of a multicomponent system through a semi-porous catalyst. If you could, you were our best friend as long as you could explain how you found the diffusivity rate without dividing by zero or hand waving. If not, you were a bosom buddy in the study room also kvetching about how evil the professor was for not giving homework on distillation columns before testing on it. I cannot specifically remember everyone’s races, but Dwight was from Trinidad and a wonderful lab partner as long as he didn’t have to cite sources. Hao from China was a hard worker and was always fun to hang out with while trying to figure out the tough problems. Kaspar, from Eastern Europe, was kind, even if he was the worst lab partner as his part of the write-ups took a “pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey” punctuation style. Tommy, a Hispanic, was a total jerk, but he could figure out the diffusivity coefficient, so who cared about personality? And most of them liked having me, a woman, around, especially since I liked the tough math. We didn’t give a hoot about race or sex, just the fact that we were all trying to make it in the second most difficult major (at least by some metrics)
Now I wonder if Engineering and hard sciences are resistant to these racist forces, or if I was just lucky.

if only it were so. Remember the Florida International University bridge collapse. The alumnae head of the all-female design team was featured in an FIU publication before the collapse. Anyone who read that article should have stopped that project. It was reported that she stated that because the design team was female, they didn’t have to follow the same rules as male engineers. She bragged about how male engineers make bridges much heavier and stronger than they had to be. She make the bridge lighter by removing the safety factor.
Part luck, later on I was excluded from the boys’ club in some classes and did many projects solo when there was an odd number. This was early 80s, so YMMV.
I walked into a lounge in the student center in the 80s looking for an open TV to watch an anime show. I got the cold shoulder from the guys as this was the black lounge. The open lounge was in the bowels of the building instead of conveniently near two entrances, the open had no windows to let you keep a weather eye, the hole in the wall open lounge had no carpet or fabric so noise was harsh and echoing, it had overbright fluorescent lighting and a ring of bad seats with an open middle… the open lounge had no qualities of a lounge after.
The black lounge was usually empty and I would have been happy to talk about Bugs Bunny (in the same time slot) with anyone. Now I suspect I could have made friends as I tend to like ‘guy’ things but chasing a white away from an empty room and tv was more important than mixing. One of the best things about college for me was meeting and connecting to people different than my rural township. If all you make friends with are people of the same gender, race, class, ethnic, etc background, how can you expect to get major success? It doesn’t that that many circles in a Venn diagram to leave everyone isolated and alone.

What do you mean ‘starting’? All college students (and most high school students) have had to go through ‘diversity training’ for 30+ years. Remember the vice-president of the U. of Houston Student Government? She put #allllivesmatter on her Facebook page after 14 police officers were shot by black lives matter. She was thrown out fo the student government, made to attend a re-education camp, and had to attend 3 ‘cultural events’ each month and write a reflective essay of apology for her insensitivity and privilege.
The progressives are creating the ‘white nationalists’ by continuing their war against whites. Most whites couldn’t care less about race, woke, or politics. This sort of thing throws it their face. It makes them pay attention, which is a grave error when whites feel threatened… Ask Japan post Pearl harbor, or Afghanistan post 9/11. Let the whites sleep!
This push elected Trump as much as anything. If progressives would have continued slowly boiling the frog, it never would have noticed.

I think I can explain this. The Left these days, particularly artists, are so ignorant of laws and rules that they think it is okay to unilaterally impose hiring procedures that don’t even attempt to conform to labor laws of the U.S. Constitution. They have long ago reached the conclusion that such procedures fall under the rubric of righting a historical wrong, and how could that not be allowed?
I don’t think it matters. I suspect they would all be okay with this, at least all the ones I know of. I admit, I haven’t kept track of all the clowns on the clown car, so I could be wrong.
How droll is it that the Left is actually doing what they only accuse whites of doing? If they want to find a quick and easy path to a civil war, this is exactly the way to make that happen.
Isn’t that the stereotype? Whatever the left accuses their opponents of doing is what they actually are doing. When you hear someone say they are a male feminist, you start the stopwatch for the rape charges. They go through cities smashing the windows of businesses and beating up anyone who would oppose them while yelling ‘fascists”. When they accuse the President of colluding with Russia to influence the election, they paid the Russians to produce opposition research they could peddle as ‘intelligence’ to influence the election. If you listen to the left, you might think the biggest threat to the US are the alt-right, fascist, white-supremacist, nazi Jews.
I don’t know if it’s a stereotype, but perhaps it should be. In most cases, we see the left engaging in the very behavior they decry, usually in the process of attacking it.
