Res Ipsa Loquitur: The Ugly And Unethical Pro Abortion Mob

Well that doesn’t leave much question about where CNN stands, does it? These health centers being targeted for violent attacks by the domestic terrorist group Jane’s Revenge (“If abortions aren’t safe, then neither are you”) are pregnancy clinics which help expectant mothers seek other solutions to their plight that don’t kill anything. “Anti-abortion” is an accurate and direct description of political efforts to limit abortions, but clinics are medical, not political, and are correctly called crisis pregnancy centers. CNN’s use of “anti-abortion” is a deliberate effort to rationalize the bombings. I don’t know why I’m surprised….In another abortion news flash, the number of abortions in the United States has been increasing, reversing what had been a three-decade decline, according to a new report by the Guttmacher Institute. In 2020, one in five pregnancies, or 20.6% ended in abortion; in 2017, 18.4%  ended in a fetus’s death. The institute, which collects data by contacting every known abortion provider in the country, reported that the number of abortions increased to 930,160 in 2020, from 862,320 in 2017.

I have now read multiple reactions from abortion advocates asserting that the statistics show what a “health crisis” limits on abortion following the likely Dobbs decision striking down Roe v. Wade would be. The fact that any serious person could say that in public is truly disturbing. What does the 930,160 figure mean to these people? Isn’t the death of close to a million unborn children in a single year a “health crisis”? It certainly was a health crisis for the human beings aborted. Is that an inaccurate statement?

Back to Jane’s Revenge: here is some of the group’s recent rhetoric to go along with their fire-bombings:

Your thirty days expired yesterday. We offered an honourable way out. You could have walked away. Now the leash is off. And we will make it as hard as possible for your campaign of oppression to continue. We have demonstrated in the past month how easy and fun it is to attack. We are versatile, we are mercurial, and we answer to no one but ourselves. We promised to take increasingly drastic measures against oppressive infrastructures. Rest assured that we will, and those measures may not come in the form of something so easily cleaned up as fire and graffiti…From here forward, any anti-choice group who closes their doors, and stops operating will no longer be a target. But until you do, it’s open season, and we know where your operations are. The infrastructure of the enslavers will not survive. We will never stop, back down, slow down, or retreat. And for the allies of ours who doubt the authenticity of the communiqués and actions: there is a way you can get irrefutable proof that these actions are real. Go do one of your own. You are already one of us. Everyone with the urge to paint, to burn, to cut, to jam: now is the time.

Rather full of themselves, aren’t they? Imagine: even radical abortion groups don’t have the honesty or courage of their convictions to call what they are advocating “abortion.” It’s just “choice;” you know, like deciding what to watch on TV.

Meanwhile, too many Democratic officials (as well as pundits and leftist demagogues),to count are giving the terrorists both encouragement and cover. Apparently the Biden White House is considering almost certainly unconstitutional executive orders to try to undermine the a reversal of Roe. They would be struck down in the courts, but such abuses of power would make the Democratic “base” happy.

  1. I would hope the Department of Justice is investigating a terrorist group that threatens violence and incites violence in others against those with whom they disagree…

    • Now that school is out, they might be able to shift some assets away from having to deal with PTA parents. On the other hand, with the approaching mega-caravan, they may be gearing up to investigate border patrol agents.

      • Maybe it’s time for some of these places to reach out to the bikers or armed Tea Party types and have them warn some of these folks that if they want a war, they’ve found one. Maybe it’s also time to start hunting down loud-mouth abortion supporters and killing them. They pull a knife, pull a gun. They send someone to the hospital, send one of them to the MORGUE!

        • Steve-O,

As much as I appreciate your passion (and feel somewhat similarly), this isn’t the way to go about it. We can’t condone violence just because it is from our side. Jesus suggests turning the other cheek, which would have meant, in his society, using the unclean hand, which would have brought public shame and ridicule on the person who hit that cheek. So I propose asking a biker to park his bike in front of a targeted crisis pregnancy center and well, if it gets firebombed and his bike gets even the tiniest scratch the entire biker gang community coast to coast declares war, but we are not calling for violence. Just expecting it and suggesting major problems for those who bring it.

  2. > From here forward, any anti-choice group who closes their doors, and stops operating will no longer be a target.

Bombing a medical center that offers support to pregnant women who’ve made the choice to not abort _is_ anti-choice.

With this demonstrated quality of reasoning ability of these terrorists and CNN, are adoption centers who handle cases other than orphans now also among those “anti-abortion” organizations?

  3. The same thing happened to the Madison, WI headquarters of the pro-life Wisconsin Family Action sometime before 6am on May 8th, which happened to be Mother’s Day.

These people literally fit the definition of terrorists which is a person who uses unlawful violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.

  4. Saw a vid a couple of days ago with a “pussy hat” wearing attendee at pro-abortion rally waving a “Long Live Roe v Wade” sign, apparently unaware of the irony in her message.

  5. Black Lives Matter (the organization) has come perilously close to almost destroying civilized society. BLM and Antifa have normalized political violence to an extent I didn’t think was possible in the United States. Now, a large part of the left either condones violence or participates in it.

I saw a poll this morning (you know how polls are) showing something like 58% of Democrats support the right to protest in front of a Supreme Court Justice’s home. I’m honestly becoming scared for my country because these very extreme liberal ideas are becoming more and more mainstream.

  6. I see I had to send to spam hell three more rogue Chris comments. Didn’t even read them. It would be so much easier to follow the clear and easy steps to potential reinstatement than to keep trying to sneak back while my metaphorical back is turned, further showing disrespect for the blog and all concerned. But no. Sas and inexplicable.

      • Oh—because if you reply to a comment that is deleted, that goes with it. Word Press. Blame the banned commenter. Or me, because I didn’t catch it in time. Two of Steve-O’s comments were evaporated as well. Think of comments by Chris or any other banned commenter as anti-matter.

            • She may have been unappreciated because her writing could not be understood. I read a lot of her comments and easily spent 90+% of the time in a state of Quixotic confusion, stabbing first at this windmill, then at that one, in a desperate but futile attempt to figure out her point.

She clearly is smart and had things to contribute, but writing doesn’t have to be convoluted.

              • I know what you mean. That was why I loved reading her comments. I actually it figured out: her writing style was heavily influenced by Spanish writers who are florid and eloquent. Her posts were fun.

          • I think that train has left the proverbial station, John. Chris told Jack he’d never apologize, because he was right and therefore, he had nothing to apologize for. I think at that point the door slammed permanently in his face, but in the end it’s Jack’s site and Jack’s decision if he wants to cut him a break four years down the road. I don’t think he should, but that’s my opinion only.

      • No doubt about it. But its still not worth the rent to live there…he just emailed me demanding that I apologize for your comments, and “letting” you make them. I get it: is woke world you need permission to utter a non-conforming opinion, or it’s rat-in-the-face for you!

        • Tell him screw him and his family, and that comes directly from me. I might have been a little extreme in what I said, but partly it was to demonstrate just how out of line what these domestic terrorists are saying is, and how quickly this could escalate to the equivalent of a gang war. After all, what else do you call it when groups are looking to compel behavior through the use of fire bombing and similar tactics? Know where they did that? Chicago 1929, when Al Capone and his folks enforced conformity with the mobs edicts with the Tommy Gun and hand grenade. But in his world apparently the rule is “if you don’t have something woke to say, then shut up, bigot.”. I have to laugh at the idea that he, a banned commenter through actions of his own, would get any say as to what else is allowed on this site.

  7. Okay, well, this thread descended quickly to the ninth level of Hell. Glad I missed it.

Plus, whoever’s doing the firebombing took the “fiery put peaceful” thing (wasn’t that CNN too?) a little too literally (at least the “fiery” part).

CNN is allegedly taking steps to be less partisan, but it doesn’t seem to have penetrated to the Chyron operators. Faster, please.
