What an idiot. But we knew that. I’m sure CNN even knew that, but Don is cute, black and gay, so he routinely gets a special version of “The King’s Pass” (Rationalization #11). Nonetheless, his latest outburst is special, even for Don, who suffers from the Dunning-Kruger Effect. Apparently Don associates a woman’s “prime” with her child-bearing years, which is the height of sexism: women are primarily breeders, right, Don? The same sources Lemon is evidently besotted with designate the male “prime” at around 19-years-old, if you measure men by erections and their level of arousal.
Can you imagine what Don and the CNN “Get Trump!” posse would have said if Trump told Hillary Clinton in 2016 that she had left her prime—as a woman—behind in her forties? Actually, Lemon’s argument sounds like something Trump might say. He has always been a sexist, but he’s not so much of a compulsive sexist to say something that stupid about women on TV.
We also learned how Don educates himself. It’s on the internet, so it must be true! “Don’t kill the messenger!”

Haley, whom I would estimate has at least 40 IQ points on poor, deluded Don, was referring to a public servant’s “prime,” when experience has reached an impressive and useful level, talents and skills remain intact, and mental and physical integrity have not begun to decline. Men and women are past their prime in their seventies and later: think of Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Ronald Reagan, Diane Feinstein, Larry Tribe (BOY is he past his prime…) and Joe Biden, the most vivid current example. Lemon’s assertion that wome are past their primes in their 50’s would be gratuitous insult to a large portion of CNN’s audience if it were true in any relevant sense. It is not, however.
Lemon is being eviscerated for his remark. Slate checked Google, and found “a bunch of dubious and unreliable links—Google does not, in fact, have an authoritative answer to when a woman is in her prime. In fact, Google isn’t even sure what it means for a woman to be in her prime. Her sexual peak? Her most beautiful? Her most fertile? Her most satisfied with her life? Her most capable in her career? Sorry, Don Lemon, but unlike, say, puberty, there’s no official life stage known as “a woman’s prime,” and therefore, there are no ages it scientifically corresponds to.”
I was about to write that naturally Lemon would be forced to apologize, and while I was composing the post, he did, tweeting, “The reference I made to a woman’s ‘prime’ this morning was inartful and irrelevant, as colleagues and loved ones have pointed out, and I regret it. A woman’s age doesn’t define her either personally or professionally. I have countless women in my life who prove that every day.” it is screamingly obvious that that careful walk-back was not composed by the same dolt who said, “Sorry!”…you gals are over the hill at 50. His prime pronouncements were representative of the real Don Lemon.
The real Don Lemon has no business being a broadcast journalist, not on CNN, not on the Cartoon Network.

All silliness aside, the jerk apologized, so maybe they’re going to give him yet another chance. I think they fear that if they sack him, he’s going to hit them with a big discrimination lawsuit seeking millions. At least we don’t have to see his drunk weepy face in the evenings reinforcing that arrogant fuck Chris Cuomo. Despite what a lot of people would have us believe, gay people can be as hateful and arrogant and obnoxious as the whitest white man. It’s just right now their hate is considered good hate.

Being a gay black guy, Lemon knows cnn is too spineless to fire him despite anything he says or does. They may try to hide him in some overnight/early morning time slot, but they won’t fire him. The best cnn might do is to make things uncomfortable for Lemon in the hope he’ll quit on his own.
I think you can stop at black and gay; I sought this idiot is smart or aware enough to contemplate what CNN may or may not do. He’s just used to saying what he wants because he was never held accountable

Lemon is a poster-child for the liberal know-it-all-ism that powers sites like Politifact and infects the Glenn Kesslers of the world. They are so self-assured that they know all there is to know that they feel comfortable taking positions on virtually any topic as long as it can further their political position.
He sounded like the know it all in ninth grade who can’t argue his way out of a wet paper bag. He evidently has no logical skills. Non.
He’s absolutely incapable of defending his position. It’s as if he hasn’t learned how to yet.
