Signature Significance For Mayor Mamdami

Let us pause for the nonce from observing the seditious and dangerous conduct by Minnesota radicals, including its governor and mayor of its largest city, to ponder the completely predictable conduct by another sanctuary city’s mayor, in this case, New York City’s. I’m speaking, of course, of Zohran Mamdani, the Communist tyro who convinced New York vast mass of clueless voters to give communist a chance, as John Lennon would be singing now. I knew my once wise retired lawyer Facebook friend’s brain had done a Fonzi and jumped the metaphorical shark when he wrote that the completely inexperienced and naive anti-American huckster’s inauguration speech extolling “the warmth of collectivism” was a “breath of fresh air.” It was as much of a breath of fresh air as if he had proclaimed, like Dorothy Parker, “I an Marie of Romania!”

What Zohran did this week, however, was even nuttier than that. He appointed the ridiculous Cea Weaver to run the Mayor’s “Office to Protect Tenants.” Now charged with overseeing housing policy in the city with the most rental units in the U.S. is a Far Left racist, sexist lunatic who…

  •  Believes that “rent control is a perfect solution to everything”
  • … because it is an “effective way to shrink the value of real estate”
  •  Holds that “private property is a weapon of white supremacy”
  • Thinks that “homeownership is racist”
  • Maintains that the highest aim of government ought to be to “impoverish the *white* middle class.”

But wait! There’s more!

She also has written, in social media posts that she quickly deleted as soon as Mamdani came a-calling, that…

  • The United States “built wealth for white people through genocide, slavery, stolen land & labor”
  • “white supremacy built the north and the south”
  • White men should not be voted into elected office.

I should mention here that Cea is herself whiter than Snow White (at least based on the latest Disney movie). See?

Weaver is also, as is her boss but unlike him unable to fake it, devoid of professional city management skills. When she was recently confronted by reporters regarding some of the strange items on her resume, she burst into tears and ran away.

What a breath of fresh air! Those with functioning cerebrums predicted that Mamdani would lead an epic disaster in New York City that will discredit socialists and communists for all time, but from the looks of it, this saga is going to be even messier, nastier, and for those of us lucky enough not to live in The Big Apple, funnier than anyone imagined. That Mamdani would put such a ridiculous person in such an important position is signature significance. A competent leader doesn’t do that, even once.

Pop that popcorn…

  1. “funnier than anyone imagined”

Clown show on the right, clown show on the left, here I am, popping the popcorn with you!

Here’s to our new golden age of reality show comedy

    • I’ve missed out on a lot of news reading with sickness hitting the house again and only checking in with Ethics Alarms and a select few others. I have not noticed any clown show on the right, except for some “Republicans Pounce” headlines tha really point out more left clown shows. What am I missing? My family is always up for popcorn.

      • Sarah B:

First, sorry you are dealing with another wave of sickness — it seems to be a particularly bad season for rotating bouts of cold flu and general WTF is this? sets of symptoms!

Re general popcorning, a warning: you could be stepping on to the slippery slope of perceiving (imagining?) that idiocy is equally accessible from any ideological extreme.

However… if you are seriously interested in the “right side” clown show I would suggest that you follow the career of ICE Barbie and her cosplay outfits and photoshoots. Or Kash Patel’s “live-blogging the FBI” social media feeds. Or the “Secretary of War” generally …. Miller, I’m afraid is too deeply creepy to be amusing, even to me!

As Old Bill warns, of course, having a sense of humor about idiocy in general (rather than the VERY SERIOUS AND DESPERATELY DANGEROUS idiocy of one’s ideological enemies) is itself a serious heresy to be avoided.

So in the interests of your conservative bona fides perhaps I should say instead:

Stay strong, stay pure! No wavering!

  2. From the linked article:

“Weaver lives in Crown Heights – a historically black neighborhood whose longtime residents have also been priced out by white newcomers.”

    Oh, cruel irony!

“In a press conference on Tuesday, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said he stood by Weaver, but his team is understood to have been caught by surprise by her anti-white tweets.”

Not much of a vetting process going on there. That does not bode well for the city.

    • That’s an incredibly disingenuous response. The kids “vetting” appointees would be all in on those posts and they wouldn’t give them an iota of pause. They’d have simply said, “Right on, sister.” Or would it be “comrade?” Don’t most Communist revolutionaries run the women out as soon as possible?

    • There’s perfectly fine vetting process going on – they were caught by surprise that anyone would ever disagree with such obviously correct statements. The whole campaign, PR team, and administration completely forgot that there’s a world beyond the bubble.

  3. That Mamdani would put such a ridiculous person in such an important position is signature significance.

Au contraire, Mon frere! She’s exactly who you would expect him to pick for his administration. They probably took a lot of the same classes in college. They are cut from the same cloth. They’re both revolutionaries.
