Friday Open Forum, “Hail, Hail, the Morons Are All Here!” Edition

Question: How does anyone who purports to support the Democratic Party not feel like an idiot these days? Observe:

Now, what Ramses witnessed in “The Ten Commandments”—burning hail…THAT might have been evidence of global warming…

This woman, arguably made stupid by progressive indoctrination and propaganda though she might have been born that way, is still arguably more astute than “The View’s” resident lawyer, Sunny Hostin, who claimed that earthquakes and eclipses were also evidence of climate change.

There’s a lot of crazy ethics stuff going on this week. Analyze it for us. Me, I’m going to bang my head against a wall for a while…

  1. When all the stupid people get edumacated with the truly correct answers they are commonly indiscernible from the smart people. Once their feeding trough diverges from conveniently observable material fact and repeatably provable falsity, their stupid begins to manifest clearly. I know people like this. Their condition saddens me. What provides hope though is that I have seen that in some of these cases there is an underlying emotional narrative that something like climate change provides language and expression for. Once that emotional narrative is uncovered and accurately expressed, often times the cause de jour is abandoned because it is no longer necessary.

  2. I was on Threads recently and there was a lot of misandry on it due to this story about a Telegram chat about some people sharing gtips on how to copmmit rape, which had a link to a site called Motherless, which had 62 million views.

Somehow Threads posters posted it as 62 million men participating in a Rape Academy. There were these posts saying, “all men”.

  3. Is this fraudulent?

    • Did you know that Hitler owned the publishing company that released Mein Kampf? The largest purchaser of the book was the German government under the Third Reich which distributed copies to newlyweds. Hitler got royalties for each copy bought, even by a government he ran from a publishing company he owned.

Now, I’m not saying the Democrats are Nazis…

    • I don’t know that it is illegal or unethical – probably smarmy, though. As I understand it, Newsom told donors that they would get a signed copy of this book in appreciation for a donation. Buying in bulk helps the book’s ratings on the best seller lists. The NYT has a “dagger” affixed to a book on the list to indicate that its position may be the result of bulk purchases. Here is a reddit thread discussing the issue:

      • More than a decade ago Rev. Marc Driscoll from Mars Hill Church in Seattle did something similar to inflate the sales numbers of his new book, and it became a big scandal. Not long thereafter Mars Hill closed its doors. You would think that a governor who has its eyes set on the Presidency would be smarter.

  4. Most uninformed morons, like Blondie, don’t know the difference between albedo and a feedback loop, which, regrettably, doesn’t prevent them from what our 16th President would call “removing all doubt.”

We had hail here and the local neighborsnextdoor (THEY Report/YOU Decide!) Idiots Savant were holding Profiles in Imbecility.

I asked one particularly clueless, yet vociferous, addlepate three questions: What have you done, what are you doing, and what will you do going forward, to address this monumental concern of yours?

His…um. .response: “I advocate for climate change and drive a smaller car. i (sic) READ… you know, binder of papers with words and sentences printed upon. Don’t need propaganda documentaries (I made a casual comment about Phat Albert’s schlockumentary slideshow) to know what scienctisrs (sic) have written about.

And there you have it. I wish Steve Witherspoon (with an enviable talent for dealing with cretinous simpletons) had participated in that thread.
