  1. Congratulations! Keep it up, and continue informing, instructing, and even entertaining us a little with your commentary.

I can say that your guidance and example have made me a slightly more ethical and better person. And for that I’m thankful.

  2. I keep a running list of great quotes to pass on to others and just realized how many of them are attributed to Jack Marshall, Ethics Alarms. Love this site!

  3. I discovered this blog one month before the 2016 presidential. Now I read it every day multiple times a day. Keep up the good work Jack.

  4. You make me recall Calvin Coolidge, who was much more quiet than you, of course:
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan Press On! has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.” Press on, ace.

  5. I read the blog everyday, usually looking at it multiple times per day to keep up with the posts and comments. Congratulations and thank you for helping me resolve some quandaries.

  6. Few things have had the sort of positive impact on my life that EA has. I’ve definitely grown, and become a more painstakingly thoughtful person because of it. I’m very grateful for all of your hard work on our behalf!

  7. I’m a relative newcomer and have done my best to recruit others. My liberal friends (many fewer now than I had prior to 2016) are, I suspect, closet readers since I quote you liberally (no pun intended). I can’t thank you enough for providing support to my conversations through your ethical and logical constructs and, thus, bring the next generation to the realization that there is value in open debate. Congratulations on your milestone achievements!

    • Remember your post about the virtually unsourced, easily debunked New York Times hit job on Donald Trump for his father’s 20-year-old estate and gift tax returns?

      https://ethicsalarms.com/2018/10/04/morning-ethics-warm-up-10-4-18-on-baseball-mocking-ford-apologies-and-tax-schemes/#more-46380

It won the Pulitzer Prize today.

Another prize went to the Wall Street Journal for its reporting of the absurd Trump bimbo payoff pseudo-scandal. Three prizes went to newspapers for coverage of three separate shooting sprees, in service of the Pulitzer committee’s apparent anti-Second Amendment agenda. Two more for editorializing about “racial justice.” No prizes were awarded for coverage of the deep state attempted coup.

Wasn’t there a time when not every Pulitzer Prize was awarded for politically slanted liberal/progressive/left-wing writing?

      • Heard that on NPR…They also honored the Parkland school newspaper for publishing obituaries, and of course the Capital Gazette was awarded a Pulitzer Prize special citation, for “courage”, and extra money since some of its staff got shot.

Unsurprisingly, a number of other awards were for “Orange man Bad” coverage of one sort or another.

  8. Although I do not always agree with your conclusions, you do a wonderful job Jack. I’ve been with you for awhile and I will definitely continue to do so.

  9. “Ethics Alarms” ? I think I’ve heard of that; is it a Facebook thing?

Congrats! Count me among those who try to read every post unless I’m out of reach of the interwebs. Hope you plan to go for another 10K or more.
