The Young America’s Foundation came into possession of the following email:
You will note that the university separated Resident Assistants into two training groups, “one for RAs who identify as Black, Indigenous, Person of Color and one for RAs who identify as White.” This is known, I believe, as racial segregation, and the presumption that members of different races require different training and content is the essence of racism. So is the presumption that it is harmful for one race to be in the same space as another. That mindset favors apartheid.
At the “White Accountability Space,” the RA’s were given a document listing 41 “common racist behaviors and attitudes of white people.” Here is a section of the document; you can peruse the entire thing here.
Observations:
1. This is all discriminatory and illegal. The University of Kentucky should be investigated, though these documents are res ipsa loquitur. No further evidence of racial prejudice and discrimination is necessary.
2. I do not comprehend how any self-respecting white individual or black individual would meekly accede to this treatment. I would make a speech and walk out, after exhorting as many colleagues as possible to follow me.
3. Such an ominous and disgusting event could only occur after years of destructive indoctrination of those who engineered it and those being subjected to it. The negligence and apathy of parents elected officials and journalists who allowed the perversion of higher education to reach this stage is astounding.
4. Noteworthy among the Forty One racist behaviors displayed in the section above are #1, which is the kind of forced statement abused prisoners of war are often forced do make, and my personal favorite, #17, which pronounces it racist for whites to “walk on eggshells” when in the company of blacks, while the rest of the document makes it clear that “eggshells” isn’t the right metaphor, but “land mines” is.
5. Again, this is the culture and educational approach that Americans who vote for Democrats in the upcoming election are endorsing, because that party. I reject the argument that making that observation is partisan in any way. However, it would be helpful if an interviewer would ask the two standard-bearers of the party to state their position on the University of Kentucky’s “training.” Naturally, if those individuals and the part leaders explicitly reject the philosophy and the methodology, I’ll reconsider my analysis.
Finally, Brandon Colbert of UK’s Bias Incident Support Services, who’se opening presentation covered “microaggressions and microinvalidations in the workplace and the harm that they cause,” has taken the position that “everything” about the United States currently regarded as patriotic is, in fact, racist.
Nice.
This leads me to these questions: Who is hiring people like Colbert to poison the minds of students? Will anyone hold those responsible accountable?
The University of Kentucky is a state school: the material being promoted is illegal.
Worse than that, however, it’s wrong.

I loved #17, too, but #18 was the best. Segregate from people of color and not form authentic relationships with them? THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THAT SEGREGATED BREAK-OUT SESSION DOES!!!!!

Nigga…?
Isn’t “Nigga” impermissible? Isn’t even “The N-word” impermissible?
You cannot fight the illogical with logic.
Stop expecting it to make sense and it’ll start making perfect sense!
Watch it now…that kind of reasoning by Captain Kirk caused so many civilizations to go under when the Computers Running the Planets were faced with it.
Reminds me of a rant by George Carlin about “organized religion” (the words he used). Something like (paraphrasing) God’s got this list of 10 Things You Are Required To Do – and if you don’t do them, then when you die, you are going to find yourself in a place where you suffer agonizingly and without relief for eternity – because God loves you. Captain Kirk had his logical $#!+ together, thank Spock.
Brandon and his ilk are essentially separatists. I think we need the U.N. to come in and create a separate country for black Americans. Kind of like Kosovo. Forced relocations can be effected. Maybe Virginia and North Carolina could be cleansed of all white people and all the black and indigenous and people of color could be forcibly relocated to, let’s call it, New Rwanda. They’d have a major seaport and an air hub. Everyone’s relocation expenses and property losses could be reimbursed by the federal government. The remaining United States could declare the war on poverty ended!
I would love to see the construction plans for that border wall!
It would be simpler to just give them Puerto Rico. That eliminates the statehood issue. It already has indigenous POC there and no wall is needed. The just need a visa to visit the US
You want contiguous states, so add Tennessee and you go yourself a nice little swath of land to hand out 50 acres* and 2 mules.
jvb
*Ed. Note: Must take into consideration inflation and cost of living increases. Besides, you would only get 1 1/4 mule but that would be really messy, so for simplicity’s sake, round it up to “2” and you’re home free!
2 mules are good — you can tell them they have a breeding pair. 🙂
This is pretty much every major state school in this country and has been for some time. It may not have been as blatant everywhere, but it was this blatant when I was an undergraduate in the late 80’s. The question is, “How do you stop it?”. You can’t sue. People have sued, they have won, the schools just ignore it. I made the point previously about the University of Michigan and free speech. Suing and winning doesn’t matter if the court refuses to hold the schools accountable. No court is going to fine the U. of Kentucky $200 million or so to make them stop this. The court will require them to hold new training sessions and make a new policy. The new training sessions and new policies will be the same as the old ones. Wash, rinse, repeat.
I have been trying to figure out why all government agencies become ~100% Democrat over time. I saw a study of faculty that asked them if they would refuse to hire the best candidate for a position if they were of the opposing political party. Less than 30% of Republicans said yes, but almost 70% of Democrats said yes. Even if you start with a 100% Republican workplace, it will eventually become 100% Democrat just based on this. The Democratic Party has definitely become more cult-like and I don’t see how you can deal with it in a government institution without banning its intolerance. Private companies don’t seem to be as prone to this problem because, if you aren’t hiring the best people, you can go bankrupt. Government agencies can have 0% success rates and continue to get funded just fine. I would say we need to get the government out of the job of education or pass a law that you can’t discriminate on the basis of political ideas. Of course, such a law wouldn’t work because Democrats would interpret political ideas they don’t like as ‘hate’ and not political ideas.
People tolerated these Communists in academia for too long and it has undermined the country’s children and education. Why was a political ideology intent on the destruction of the American government and democracy allowed to exist? Why were teachers allowed to teach it in government schools? It may be that the only way forward is to give them the Socialism they want. They may find that under their preferred Communist regime, the leftist are all killed and only the conservatives survive. Subversives are not tolerated by Communists, those who can topple one society can topple another. People who work are the people who survive. The USSR virtually eliminated unemployment by employing low wages and the idea that ‘if you don’t work, you don’t eat’. If you starve all the unemployed people to death, unemployment goes away pretty quickly. How many of our current ‘leftists’ are subversives or living on welfare? Why don’t conservatives riot and protest like leftists? They have to be at work, they have responsibilities. After the leftists are dead and the Communist state withers away to true Communism, we will be left in a state like Russia, run by the mafia and warlords (the anarchy of true Communism only lasts for milliseconds after the collapse of the state). In another 1000 years or so, maybe we can get back to the liberal democracy we once had. Then we will become so open-minded that we let our brains fall out again…
Exactly, Michael R., what you say – along the lines of my 2017 essay (but don’t bother to read it, please – you cover it just fine, here, today) about the cycle of human history and the incessant and inevitable conflict between two types or tribes of people: “ownwayists” and “governists.” I posted about it just yesterday in the Open Forum.
Brandon J. Colbert appears to be an anti-white racist. Yes Brandon I just called you a racist and you need to own your own racism because you’re no better than the modern day KKK.
The left is far more racist. Do you know why they think America is racist? Because THEY and their ilk are racist. To quote George W Bush, they have the “soft bigotry of low expectations” except I drop the soft. Leftists are bigots who think Blacks are less capable. But they think they are the good people, and we are the deplorables, so we must be even more racist.
The Washington Post even let this article slip in: https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2018/11/30/white-liberals-dumb-themselves-down-when-they-speak-black-people-new-study-contends/
You nailed it. It’s been said a thousand times. Democrats tend to do (and be) all the things they accuse Republicans of doing and being.
If you click through to the full list, #26 is one of my favorites. “Ask people of color to repeat what they have just said.” Of course, seeming to ignore or discount what they say, or pretty much any reaction, would be unacceptable, too, so you’re”catch 22’d no matter what.
That one is a gem. I might do a whole post on the group. Apparently when I go through a drive-in fast food line and the voice over the scratchy speaker speaks too fast and has a thick accent you couldn’t drive a tank through, and has no business—yet—being in a job requiring communication with English-speakers, it’s racist to ask her or him to repeat slowly what was said to me. Just let it go.
This is now I ended up eating duck feet at a Chinese restaurant.
This. This is one of my biggest corporate pet peeves; I don’t care what color your employees are, where they came from, who they call god or what parts of their partner’s anatomy they like running their parts against, but for the sake of all things holy: Stop putting people who cannot speak basic English in customer service positions, particularly ones where the customers are already probably pissed off.
It’s not fair to the employee, it’s not fair to the customer, it will end up costing you business. It. Is. Dumb. Language barriers are real, and nothing is more designed to drive me up one wall and down the other than spending 30 minutes listening to shitty elevator music to end up talking to someone that sounds like they’ve been hired from a temp agency from Albania, with line quality like the temp is in a wind tunnel in Zimbabwe.
This.
Amen, and AMEN!
I’m guessing that Asians would be expected to join the “POC” group. Get very many of them and I’m betting it won’t go over well. Many of the things that that list accuses of whites being, is done doubly so for Asian college students.
Matthew, Asians are not “people of color.” They are oppressors. Get with the program. They run convenience stores and fill up slots at colleges and universities. They work. They study. They amass wealth. They take care of their family members. You’d have as good a chance calling Jews “people of color.” Some of them may be “swarthy,” but they’re oppressors because they act just like Asians. They work, they study, they amass wealth. They take care of their family members. They run things. People of color are limited to people who can’t compete and take care of themselves.
The elephant in the room is Asian.
Ahhh, that’s clever…assuming you intend your reader to complete the thought by considering what the alternate general type of elephant would be.
I can relate an event about this very thing. I worked almost a decade for a Fortune 50 company. The first outsider CEO had a buddy event with Jessie Jackson. She publicly said that she strongly embraced him and his goals to transform the company. She held internal events stating the same. I was on a hiring team, and our HR team started changing their tune. We started getting in person communications from HR personnel stating that we were going to “transform” our hiring practices. We were informed that we would only hiring women or POC. They said that we did a good job at extending offers to POC, but because the demand was so high between companies for any barely qualified POC, we often had our offers rejected. We’d get into bidding wars and often lost. Once that happened, we’d go to our “#2” (really the best candidate) and hire them. We were told this would stop, that we would re-enter the candidate search instead until we found the POC because we did not meet our quotas. Anyone in management got an in person visit from an executive with a lecture about “how disappointing it was that they were objecting and that their performance may suffer.” When asked, no, you could not get that in writting.
So for the event in question: HR gave us a list of candidates, all POC. One of the hiring team had a nephew who graduated from college recently and was a close fit between his PhD and our need. She asked he be interviewed and HR didn’t rule him out, and let us interview him too. Critical to this story, he was 1st generation American, his parents both escaped South Vietnam. We interviewed all, and the nephew was the top, by far. But instead, we worked through the list making offers that were rejected. When we reached the bottom, HR told us we had to start again. The aunt on the committee asked:
“How about ____, everyone on the committee thought he was great, he’s qualified, and he is a minority?”
Not missing a beat, the very white HR lady said “No, Asians are over-represented. You need a Black, Native or Hispanic candidate.” She said that in a room that was at least 1/3 Asian. I just silently sat there, thinking: Welcome to the despised ‘oppressor’s’ club.
A few years later, we were no longer hiring. Now the new criteria is you couldn’t let a woman or POC go. We had round after round of cutting white and Asian males. That lasted until the CEO was replaced. A few months later there was a bloodbath after managers were told there was no long a bar on firing women and POC. I would say it was fair, it was only the multitude of workers who had it coming. But it was quite lopsided because the previous cuts were so constrained.
I was quite surprised to see that very same former CEO running as a presidential candidate in 2016. I would have presumed that being Jessie Jackson’s buddy was disqualifying as a republican candidate, but she tried anyways. Fortunately, 97% of republican primary voters agree with me.
Careful, you may have given out enough information to dox yourself.
There were some that said my opinion was wacko, insane, I was predicting doom and gloom that’ll never happen, I was paranoid, it’s nothing but conspiracy theories, fear mongering, I should be in a mental hospital, etc when I wrote in the summer of 2019…
As far as I can tell from my upper midwest perch staring out across the United States today, the indoctrination and/or dumbing down of America talked about by Charlotte Thompson Iserbyt in 1972 is complete enough to upend and likely destroy the United States of America. Here are a few note worthy quotes from Iserbyt…
It’s been a 45+ year long multi generational indoctrination and dumbing-down and in many ways Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt was correct. The devastating results of the intellect sucking indoctrination machine can be seen and heard spewing forth from the 21st century hive mind of social justice warriors and those who are virtue signaling their irrational rhetoric. Critical thinking is completely dead with social justice warriors and those that support them.
I keep on saying it and I won’t stop; the irrational social justice warriors have already won the battle of the minds across the metropolitan areas of the United States, damn near all college campuses and infiltrating everything with their irrational poison including local governments and school boards and social media and their totalitarian censoring of what they think is wrong think and this anti-white racists garbage from the University of Kentucky is just one more example to stack on the huge pile of evidence to prove my argument. It’s happening over and over again and it will not stop until there is a HUGE public blow up somewhere and the shit really hits the fan because some company or University or government entity didn’t bow to the irrational social justice army of lunatics.
If you don’t want to live under rules created by stupid people then you need to set aside your apathy for society and politics, stand up for intelligent truths and do something about what’s happening!
We have a very serious problem with emotional childishness in our society.
You asked for examples of systemic racism in the U.S. in a comment on another post.
What Jack cited is one such example.
Michael T Ejercito wrote, “You asked for examples of systemic racism in the U.S. in a comment on another post. What Jack cited is one such example.”
Incorrect.
What happened at University of Kentucky (UK) is not the systemic racism that’s being claimed by 21st century social justice warriors, what happened at UK was an incident of systematic racism.
Elaborate further please.
Here are a couple of short definitions that should help you…
Systemic: relating to a system, especially as opposed to a particular part.
Systematic: done or acting according to a fixed plan or system; methodical.
Steve, I think you and Michael are talking about both method and madness. Practice the method, no matter how mad it may be, and practice it persistently and pervasively enough, and eventually, you will be oppressed by BOTH systematic AND systemic oppression.
When I worked for a domestic violence shelter many moons ago, the training included separating the whites from the browns for focus groups. Myself and a Jewish woman were really confused as to which group to go to. She figured Jews got the crap end of many things and can be ethnic but decided her skin color qualified her for the white team. I went to the brown team because of my skin color, even though ethnically I’m slightly more european than everything else.
It left a bad taste in my mouth because it was so reductionist. If anything it was just one more scenario where white progressives were attempting to separate people from seeing what they had in common while being open to learning about different experiences. Our brown group watched a video telling us about the evils of cultural appropriation and how Peggy McIntosh (a white elite if there ever was one) had a theory about white privilege we should all adopt.
This was when I really began to question if what the two groups were experiencing was simply a nice version of brainwashing and friendly racism for the purpose of social control. And worse, as staff, we passed on some of this rhetoric to our clients, as if they weren’t dealing with enough already. It’s regrettable these tactics have only increased. I may not have challenged it then but will if it ever comes up again.
My personal favorite is #2. If in fact there is a PLE for something, such as Jacob Blake being a threat to everyone around him, you’re racist for pointing it out. It’s a pre dismissal of any other possible explanation.
Which relates to #4. Since they’ve declare logical thinking racist, all I can say is “Then let me be racist” because certain values objectively ARE superior.
Really, the whole list deserves a good fisking, but I’d give myself an aneurysm if I tried. The Lewis Black bit about the horse and college comes to mind.
“Lewis Black bit about the horse and college”. Truly a memorable routine:

And entirely apropos.
